Pasta with Italian Sausage and Pumpkin Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2014
So yummy, great for a fall day. I used turkey sausage too lower some of the calories- still had great flavor. I also added pumpkin pie spice- a lot! I love pumpkin! I didnt use the full can of chicken broth, only about 3/4 of a cup. I also only used the half/half cream instead of the sour cream. It was aleeady SO creamy and rich. Instead of normal pasta noodles i put this sauce on top of 'Zucchini noodles' you can geat the recipe from this site. It was a filling and delicious low carb pasta dish!

So yummy! Followed the recipe exactly except I used gluten free bread. Made it for my dad and my husband.... My dad didn't even know it was gluten free because it was so freaken amazing! Couldn't be easier and the toasted nuts give it a bit of saltiness. Yum yum!

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
Wow amazing! Definitely the best homemade orange chicken dish that I have ever tried... And I have tried a few! I used the comment to coat the chicken in cornstarch before and it made such a nice coating. Not the deep fried texture you get from fast food. Also this means you don't need to do the extra step of adding more corn starch because it thickens all by itself. also really easy to make this gluten free- just use GF soy sauce! I also doubled the sauce and the chicken so that I would have left overs. Can't wait to have it again tonight!

Ambrosian Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
Wonderfully juicy and healthy!! I can't even begin to tell you how many coconut chicken recipes have tried and this one is by far my favorite! It's easy, I have most of the ingredients around the kitchen and it can be pre-made and go into the fridge before putting it in the oven. A few slight changes- I added garlic powder, ginger powder, and chili powder to the yogurt mixture to give it a little kick. The yogurt keeps the chicken SO moist you actually think your chicken is undercooked because it's so juicy! I even used Gluten Free Panko crumbs and it still turned out crispy and amazing. I paired this with brown rice cooked in light coconut milk and stir fried green beans with fresh garlic and fresh ginger drizzled with honey. What an easy weeknight meal for me and the hubby. Thanks for the great recipe!

Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
Just finished making it and wow it's pretty amazing! I've never made a soup with sausage and cabbage before and they go really well together especially on a fall day. I did spice it up quite a bit because I didn't need to make it kid-friendly. I added about 5 cloves of minced fresh garlic, about two tsp of chili powder, dashes of oregano, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, as well as more galic powder... I like garlic. :) I also used fresh tomatoes instead of canned. Next time I think I don't need to use as much sausage or at least do half turkey sausage to cut down on the calories. But very easy, very quick and stores well. Thanks!

Guacamole Walnut Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
Loved this recipe!! Great recipe to prepare ahead of time and have ready for dinner. I added yellow raisiens and only used two stalks of celery. I also cooked the chicken in a pan (cut the chicken into small cubes first) and cooked it with the garlic and some cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and balsamic. Let the chicken cool and then mixed it into the rest of the ingriediants. I also added a tablespoon of honey mustard dressing to the mix. Yum yum!!

Dumplings

Amazing! So easy and quick. There is absolutely no way to mess up this easy recipe. Also I'm gluten-free and I used Pamela's GF Baking Flour and it worked perfectly! I did notice that it was still a little watery after I mixed it together so I added a little white rice flour. I also omitted the baking powder because it already comes in the mix. It's a cold and rainy day here in Germany and I'm so happy to have this wonderful chicken and dumpling soup to warm me up!

Spicy Orange Zest Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
I love to cook but i have to say... Completely flavorless- the sauce didn't thicken, the meat came out tough I followed the recipe exactly and I bought the tenderloin from a butcher. I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the fact that I used gluten-free soy sauce.
