Sauces and gravies are involved in a lot of recipes that I cook. Everyone loves whatever I put in front of them to eat . . . but my hubby and I are both disabled and pushing 60 . . . I am looking for good recipes of a maximum of 300 total calories per meal. This is not easy - most recipes are not appealing to people who have eaten the best lasagna, chicken and dumplings, porterhouse steaks, and so on . . . A 300 calorie diet is only successful when the food is actually appealing. This is my current quest.

Italian sauces, a perfect steak, beef stroganoff, gallina en mole, spanish rice, carrot cake (scratch), breakfast foods . . . gee there are so many and my memory is not so good at the moment.
