Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
Absolutely delicious. I typically make about 1.5x as much of the sauce so that it's more flavorful.

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
The taste was a bit too vinegar-y. Next time, I think I'll use a little less vinegar and a little more lime juice. The only change I made was using bottled lime juice, as I don't have a juicer, so that might have had something to do with it. I also marinated yellow peppers, which I highly recommend.

Croque-Monsieur

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
If you're looking for an authentic, French-cafe croque-monsieur, this is not it. It is, however, absolutely delicious, quite filling without being fattening, and definitely worth a try.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
I used 1" chicken pieces instead, and cooked for 15 mins at 425. I also substituted 1/4c brown sugar instead of the white sugar, per other reviewers' suggestions. I served with cellophane noodles and mixed veggies, which went with the chicken very well. This was fantastic and I absolutely love the sauce.

Okra, Corn and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
I used sage and seasoned pepper instead of file powder and this was fantastic. I served with brown rice, which went very well. Great, easy dish!

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
Very good! I used oats instead of walnuts and made one-and-a-half times the recipe in a 9x13 pan - I think doubling it and using a 9x13 would also be good.

Kettle Corn

Easy and delicious! I used the 3-seconds-on, 3-seconds-off method and it wasn't burned at all!

Coyote Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
I liked this because it was a little different than typical chip dip. It tasted great and the party guests enjoyed it! It made a lot, so I'd only bring about half for a potluck next time.

Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
This was absolutely delicious, just perfect amount of mustard + spice. I didn't even reduce the sauce, just discarded it, but the chicken was perfectly moist. I served with honey roasted potatoes and green beans, good all around!

Shredded Chicken Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
I used half tomato sauce and half chicken broth and this still tasted very strongly of tomato. If you want that, it's fine - but I was hoping for something a little different.

Strawberry Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
I used store-bought frosting because it's easier, but the cake itself was delicious!

Take The Night Off Slow Cooker Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2014
This turned out well and nothing was wrong, but it was very mild/almost bland. I shredded the chicken and added onion, garlic, bell pepper, and more pineapple in the last two hours of cooking. If I made it again, I'd want to add more spices and more pineapple as well. Again - good recipe, just not that exciting for our tastes.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2014
Great base and easy to modify. I like this recipe better than the taco seasoning packets that you can buy in the store. I usually add some cayenne or chipotle chile powder, too.

Amish Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2014
I halved the sugar and this was still very sweet; the vinegar was also pretty strong. I added a cup of mayo as well to round it out.
