Taco Salad II

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2004
This salad is just what I was craving! I took the advice of others and added 1 avocado & 1 can drained kidney beans. I used Nacho cheese Doritos instead of the plain ones. Too much onion - I used 1/2 onion istead. And most importantly - SERVE IT IMMEDIATELY. The chips and lettuce get soggy.

This is Great! I love Baileys but I am on Adkins and cannot have it... So...with this recipe, I made Sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup with Splenda therefore lowering the carb count to a level that I can endulge in - yum yum!! Thanks for the delicious recipe!!

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2004
Oh! I am so happy to have this delicious recipe! I buy Hidden Valley in the envelopes and it is so expensive! I think this is better tasting - I love the dill!! The only change I made was I added 1/2 cup Half & Half and doubled the spices - FANTASTIC Dawnia!! Thank you!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2005
Wow! These are really great! I didn't have fresh blueberries so I substituted a frozen blend of blueberries, marionberries and raspberries. Fantastic!! I was worried about the consistancy of the batter - it seemed too thick but it baked wonderfully. Thanks for the great recipe - Yum Yum!!

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2004
This is the best marinade!! I cut my pork back ribs into 4-5 rib slabs and stand them in my crock pot. When they are fork tender, I arrange them in a dish and pore Kristy's marinade over them and refridgerate them overnight. I then grill them on the grill, basting them with the marinade until they are grilled and ready to devour. My husband becomes greedy with these and hides any left-overs for himself. Serve them with the barbeque sauce recipe under 'Barbequed Ribs' by Gail and you will have your man in the palm of your hand. Thank you!! Thank you!!

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2005
This recipe is great! I goofed and mixed the egg into the batter and they still turned out. I used craisins instead of raisins and made 4 huge ones instead of 8 smaller ones. I had to modify the temperature and the time a bit to cook them on the inside. I will definately make these again - delicious!!

Very Berry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
I thought these were delicious! I upped the brown sugar to 1/3 cup which was fine because I like to taste the berries more than the sugar. I also used the frozen berry mix from Costco (blueberries, raspberries, marion berries). I also did not mind that is was just oozing with berries - Yum! Thanks for this recipe!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Yum! The first time I made this I followed the recipe exactly. It turned out extremely hot (but delicious). I was the only one that could stomach eating it unfortunately... The second time I made it, I obmitted the cayenne and jalapeno - Very good!! The cumin gave it enough oomph but was able to be devoured by the kids and husband. No leftovers this time. I served it with the Naan (by Mic) and Indian style basmati rice (by Dhan0923) recipes on this website - WOW! What a meal!! One note of advice: Double your recipe - 3 chicken breasts are not enough for 2 adults and 2 small children.

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2005
I have rated this cookie before but the review before this one made me laugh. This is the EXACT recipe for the Neiman Marcus recipe. You can even check yourself. I thought this was funny that they said the other recipe was better! Anyhow - this cookie is AWESOME no matter where you get the recipe.

Indian Style Basmati Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Excellent results! I did not have whole spices so I used powdered. I used 1 tsp each of the Cardamon, cloves and Cinnamon. I also did not soak my rice - I just added it to the oil with the onion and sauted it until it was golden. Excellent served with Naan and Chicken Tikka!! Thanks for the delicious recipe!!

Naan

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Oh WOW! This turned out so much better than the Naan at my favorite Indian Restaurant! I mixed everything in my KitchenAid Mixer. I proofed my yeast by heating the water to 115 degrees and adding 1 tsp of the sugar to the water. I obmitted 1 tsp of the salt in the dough because I added garlic salt to my butter to brush on the outside. I also heated my oven to 200 degrees and then turned it off before putting the dough in there to rise. It turned out so good - Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Italian Wedding Soup II

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2004
I am giving this 5 stars because this is the only recipe that had the egg mixture in it. I combined the end of this recipe with the first part of 'Mama's Italian Wedding Soup' by Lalena. I also made a bunch of changes to that recipe - see my rating for details.

Lasagne Verdi al Forno

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
This recipe is fabulous! I desperately looked for chicken livers but could not find any in the small rural Minnesota town that I live in - still it turned out better than any recipe that I have ever created. I used Bertoli lasagne pasta and added spinach to my meat sauce. Next time I will definately double the recipe to make 2 because the one went so fast that there was no left overs. Thank you for this incredible recipe!!
