Ranch Dressing II

Oh! I am so happy to have this delicious recipe! I buy Hidden Valley in the envelopes and it is so expensive! I think this is better tasting - I love the dill!! The only change I made was I added 1/2 cup Half & Half and doubled the spices - FANTASTIC Dawnia!! Thank you!

Original Irish Cream

This is Great! I love Baileys but I am on Adkins and cannot have it... So...with this recipe, I made Sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup with Splenda therefore lowering the carb count to a level that I can endulge in - yum yum!! Thanks for the delicious recipe!!

Barbecue Ribs

This is the best marinade!! I cut my pork back ribs into 4-5 rib slabs and stand them in my crock pot. When they are fork tender, I arrange them in a dish and pore Kristy's marinade over them and refridgerate them overnight. I then grill them on the grill, basting them with the marinade until they are grilled and ready to devour. My husband becomes greedy with these and hides any left-overs for himself. Serve them with the barbeque sauce recipe under 'Barbequed Ribs' by Gail and you will have your man in the palm of your hand. Thank you!! Thank you!!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

This was delicious!! I am from Arizona so the peaches I used were from a neighbors dwarf peach tree. They are smaller than regular peaches so I had to use more than eight. Also, baking it for 30 minutes is too long. The topping was starting to burn after 27 minutes.

White Sangria

This is almost good. I made a few changes and it turned out great. I used Brandy instead of the cognac. I didn't have mangos so I used fresh peaches. It still needed more fruit so I added some grapes and apples. I also didn't have enough white wine so I used 1/2 white and 1/2 red. I also added 1-1/2 tsps of cinnamon. Yum Yum!!

Taco Salad II

This salad is just what I was craving! I took the advice of others and added 1 avocado & 1 can drained kidney beans. I used Nacho cheese Doritos instead of the plain ones. Too much onion - I used 1/2 onion istead. And most importantly - SERVE IT IMMEDIATELY. The chips and lettuce get soggy.

Pasta e Fagioli II

Yum Yum! I had the most incredible soup while on my honeymoon in Rome. Since returning I have craved it and have been disappointed by the American version which resembles Chili with pasta. This recipe is as close as I could find with few minor changes: I omitted the tomato juice and used 1 can of crushed tomatoes instead. I used Great Northern Beans instead of the red beans. I used fresh basil. I used Acini de pepe pasta. I added 1 cup fresh chopped spinach. I also added 2 more cups of chicken broth. Delicious!!

Italian Wedding Soup II

I am giving this 5 stars because this is the only recipe that had the egg mixture in it. I combined the end of this recipe with the first part of 'Mama's Italian Wedding Soup' by Lalena. I also made a bunch of changes to that recipe - see my rating for details.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup

This soup is great but I made so many changes I am not sure if the original recipe is what inspired the 5 stars. These are my changes: I added 1 tsp of minced garlic to the meatballs, I sauted the vegetables first, I browned the meatballs before adding to soup, I added a stalk of celery, I used Acini de pepe pasta, I used fresh basil in the meatballs and when everything was cooked and just about ready to serve, I added 3 eggs beaten with 1 cup Parmesan to the soup while I stired constantly. It was delicious and inspired by a soup that I had in Rome.

Best Brownies

10 stars easily!! These are so good that if 'Death by Chocolate' were possible, I would go for it! I took the advice of others and added 1/2 cup chocolate chips to the batter. I also, melted the frosting on the stove to a liquid consistancy before spreading them on the brownies. I could faint! These are so delicious!!
