Brown Sugar Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
these were very good. when doubled, they fit perfectly into a 13 X 9 pan. however, a full teaspoon of salt was too much, even for the doubled recipe, so i'll just stick to the 1/2t. i frosted these with a caramel coconut frosting.

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2003
this was a great recipe. i baked the cookies for 10 minutes, and they turned out nice and soft, and stayed that way the next day. i added a 1/2 t of cinnamon as some others had suggested, decreased the oatmeal to 2 1/3 cups and didn't grease the cookie sheet, but lined it with foil instead (i do this to all my cookies, and they never stick). i think next time i will use more than a half cup of nuts though, or bigger chunks of nuts, b/c i couldn't really taste them too well.

Chewy Gingersnaps

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2002
i made these with a peach brandy frosting on top, which was excellent. the cookies were very chewy, which i enjoyed, but as other's have stated- the dough was too hard to work with and too floury they tasted very bland. i'll stick to regular crunchy gingersnaps from now on.

Best Ever Chewy Chocolate Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2002
these are by far the BEST chocolate chip cookies i've ever had. as other's have stated, the time is usually less than 14 minutes, usually 10 or 11...and if you don't want them to stick to the ungreased sheet, then put foil on the cookie sheet *works everytime* i made these in addition to another chocolate chip recipe at the same time, and everyone said they liked *the darker ones* (these ones) better!

Glazed English Toffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2002
this is not a quick cake, so don't make it if you want something fast. however, if you have the time, it's well worth it, you will NOT be disappointed, and it's easy to prepare. they didn't have skor bits at my grocery store, so i crushed up some Werther's Original's candies. another change i made was doubling the glaze recipe. it's extremely rich, even a chocoholic had to eat it one piece at a time. the cocoa gives it a very moist flavor.
