About this Cook
Why do I cook? Well somebodys got to feed my family :-)
My favorite things to cook
Right now its any kind of dessert, I love to bake
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cant think of one right now
My cooking triumphs
I made my first thanksgiving dinner in 2003, my husband said that it was the first turkey he ever had that wasnt dry. I was so proud of my turkey we didnt need any gravy.
My cooking tragedies
I was grilling BBQ pork chops in my broiler, and I covered the broiler pan in foil thinking it would make for easy clean up. While the chops were cooking my house started to fill with smoke and I set off all my smoke alarms. It turns out that the slots in the broiler pan are there for a reason and you should not cover them

Old-Fashioned Pancakes
The pancakes turned out great, I folded some chocolate chips in for ths kids and they loved them. The batter was a little thick for my liking (after the rest) so I just added water to thin them out

Easy Gravy
Great recipe! I will never buy jarred gravy again! I didn't have dripping so I just used butter and it turned out beautiful. It looked just like the stuff in a jar, thanks
