Mexican Shrimp Cocktail

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
Excellent. Don't expect the usual heavy thick sauce. The recipe is perfect as is but allows for additions such as chopped red pepper, diced tomatos, and diced cucumber. The horseradish may not be traditional but it sure tastes good. I purchased raw shrimp and boiled as opposed to precooked frozen. Had about a cup left over which stored beautifully for the nex day. I was surprised that the lime juice didn't affect the texture of the shrimp. I am guessing this could be made a day ahead. Thanks for a mighty fine recipe, Ms. Sarah!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
Excellent. This will be my standard chili recipe from here on out. I faithfully followed the recipe. The end result was awesome. It's spicey hot which suits me fine! If I were to change anything, I might cut down on the cumin. The chili improved with age and actually cooled down a bit. Way to go and thanks for posting this recipe.

Greek Lemon Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2004
I made this to accompany a baked chicken dinner. It is delicious, but I did make a couple of slight changes. The amount of soup base appeared to be too much. I added some and stopped when it fit my taste. Same was true of the amount of lemon juice. I started with 1/4 cup and went from there.

Green Bean Bundles

Absolutely the best. Had them for Thanksgiving but so easy and delicious, I won't wait for a special occasion to make them again. I think letting them marinate overnight is a must.

Grasshopper Pie I

Wowie! This is a dandy. I took so many liberties with the recipe that it should have flopped. It turned out fantastic. Make this one. You won't be sorry. You could cut down on the hooch if you wanted, but why would you?

Curry Noodles with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2003
This recipe is easy to make, and it is delicious. I like hot dishes that have a bit of a bite. If you are a weenie when it comes to hot and spicey, you may want to cut back on the red curry paste. This recipe will become a regular. Excellent

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2002
Excellent. I substituted left over Thanksgiving turkey for the chicken. I think adding canned mandarine oranges would be great. Also I'd probably sprinkle on some crunchy chinese noodles to each serving or serve them on the side for added crunch. I will definitely make this again.
