Strawberry Glazed Pie

Very tasty, BUT BE CAREFUL! When boiling the ingredients, it might bubble up and splash...VERY HOT!

Peach Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2004
Overall it was good. Even after refrigerating overnight, it was still a little runny. Turned out a little bit sticky too.

Baked Custard for Two

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Just enough custard for my craving, but not so much I have to eat it for days. Tastes great, just like plain custard. Very simple and fast to make.

Mom's Warm Milk

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
This is tasty, just like Starbuck's Vanilla Creme. I'm trying to watch my calorie intake, so I used skim milk and half the sugar. It took care of my craving for something sweet and is calming as well.

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
These are the best pancakes I have ever made!! They are so light, they just melt in your mouth. I wish I could alter the recipe to be a little more figure friendly though. Oh well, sometimes you just have to splurge! No more bisquick for me!

Crab Tartlets

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
Very tasty, a little on the mayonaise side, but still delicious. My store didn't have the phyllo cups, only the regular dough. I just used a pizza cutter to cut squares and pre-baked them for a few minutes in a muffin pan. Worked great---actually probably a little cheaper than using the pre-made cups. Thanks!!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
These were pretty good. My family liked them more than I did. I guess I was anticipating my house to smell like Auntie Anne's in the mall. Be sure you have time to make these, they are not a quick fix. Thanks!

German Baby

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
Well, I guess this turned out like it was supposed to. I served it w/ sweetened strawberries, lemon, and maple syrup and we weren't too impressed. I won't make this again. The recipe turned out like it was supposed to I think. I made it because I thought it looked neat and tasty, but since I have never had it before, it's hard to rate based on any comparison.

Nothing really special about this recipe. I definitely added extra garlic and added some dill. Ok dish.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
It's a healthy recipe as long as you don't add too much cheese. I made mine w/ 2% milk mexican cheese. Easy quick meal.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2007
Great tasting biscuit. Very similar to Red Lobster's Cedday Bay Biscuits. I halved the recipe, and it still made 15 biscuits. I will probably quarter it next time since it is just the two of us.

Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
I made this for an open house party and kept it in a mini crock pot--it was a hit! I served it w/ baked tostitos scoops and plain melba toast. I also used everything I could to make it lighter in fat and calories--still tasted great! I made a half batch, but still used the same amount of artichokes and spinach w/ a tiny bit more garlic salt than what the recipe calls for.

Easy Swedish Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
Sorry, but these did not taste good at all. Maybe I just had the wrong idea about swedish pancakes--I guess I was expecting it to taste more like a crepe---but it really had no taste at all. But then again, I'm not the most fabulous cook in the world and it could be partly my fault.

This was a good fried rice recipe--just about as close as you can get to restaurant style. I made it plain without any meat and it turned out great!
