Fluffy Pancakes

Great recipe. I went ahead and just used buttermilk since I had it on hand. Also, for this cool fall morning, I decided to use some apple in the recipe--I diced it up really fine and added it to the batter. I omitted the sugar and butter and used white whole wheat flour (deceives the fam). Added a touch of vanilla and cinnamon to complement the apple. Great recipe!

Oatmeal Pancakes

These pancakes taste like an "old fashioned" pancake. I didn't have quick oats, so I used regular, and I didn't have buttermilk, so I soured some whole milk. I used smart balance oil instead of butter. I also added a little cinnamon and vanilla like some of the other users suggested. Good heart healthy recipe.

Cute decorative, but not super tastey. I made them into different shapes like bells, candy canes, and circular wreaths. Some members of my family really liked them and some did not.

Shiitake Angel Hair Pasta

This was pretty good, there wasn't as much shiitake mushroom flavor in it as I was hoping for. I don't know if I'll use these expensive mushrooms in this recipe again.

Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

This recipe was really simple. I made one with a crust and one without (to lessen calories), they were both delicious! I used half splenda and it seemed a little to sweet, so I will lessen the sugar next time. I did not scaled the milk, I used all the ingredients right out of the fridge. I baked mine 40 min.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

I had to add about 2 extra tablespoons of water so I could get the dough out in one ball. Finished product was pretty good. I can't say it was anything special, but it worked.

Buttermilk Pie I

I was searching for a recipe to use the buttermilk I had left over from another recipe. This turned out pretty good. I took it to Thanksgiving Dinner and everyone questioned the name, but loved it after they tried it. First bite is questionable, but it goes quick after that!

Lemon Pie Bars

I made these based on the picture shown....that must be two bars stacked on top of each other. I made it the original recipe way, but next time I will definitely DOUBLE the filling so it is more of a 2:1 RATIO instead of 1:1.
