These were DELISH, very rich and fattening but delish!! lol I did make a few changes, but I always do when cooking... I used half cream and half milk for the sauce with an old white Cheddar (you can use less cheese if it has more flavour), layered the potatoes with crumbled bacon (makes these potatoes over the top kind of delicious!!) finely diced onions and pepper. I also added some of the sauce to half the layered potatoes and think that buttering the dish was unnecessary. Served them with honey and apricot glazed ham for Easter, and now can't wait for another special occasion to make them again!
