Don't Judge a Cocktail by the Color

You know the kind of person who always asks the bartender for their favorite drink recommendations? That’s my husband, Kevin. The only thing he’ll request is that the cocktail is not too sweet. The funny thing – his drink always comes back pink! As I’m
sure you can imagine, he struggles with this when the time comes to order.
In defense of the color, it usually turns out that Kevin loves the drink. In a recent stop at one of our favorite happy hour spots, we asked the bartender to make us a few pink drinks to try. From the taste test, the final verdict was clear – a Pink Elephant
cocktail (the Pink Grapefruit Mojito came a close second).
Here’s how to make your own at home.
- 2 oz. cranberry juice
- 2 oz. berry-flavored vodka
- 1 oz. Limoncello
- 1 oz. Grand Marnier
In a shaker filled with ice, add the cranberry juice, flavored vodka, and Limoncello. Shake well and pour into chilled martini glasses. Float the Grand Marnier on top, add a few fresh raspberries (if you have them) and serve. You can also swap out the Grand
Marnier for Chambord, if you prefer.
