Delicious! I would suggest cooking the beans a little less, maybe 6/7 min. I used Tamari soy sauce and rice wine vinegar. I think next time I might try adding some ginger (or pickled ginger) to the recipe, but it is perfect on it's own.

Awesome! I use 1/2 cup maple syrup and 1/2 cup honey (brown sugar only when I'm out of one of these). I've thrown in coconut and flax seeds as well.

Fig Cake I

This is the biggest win! I have suitably impressed my roommates, neighbours, colleagues and friends. Everyone LOVES this recipe. NOTE to anyone trying out the icing for the first time. I was not expecting the icing to foam before turning rich brown. My judgment told me to turn down the heat, but I trusted the thermometer.

Mom's Pie Crust

I can't believe it took me this long to make a real crust. I substituted some locally grow whole wheat to see how that would work. I liked it, though the crust was a bit tougher to roll out.

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

This is my favourite muffin recipe of all times. I use it all the time. I have made more batches of these than I could ever remember. I substitute the instant coffee with espresso (fresh). I substitute the all-purpose flour for whole wheat. I make them all organic and they are to die for!!

Butternut Squash Soup
