Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
So easy! I made this tonight in under 10 minutes, using my George Foreman grill. The garlic butter sauce is so flavorful! This is a keeper for sure!!

Holiday Peppermint Bark

Easy and fast. I used Candy Canes and crushed them up instead of small round mints. Very pretty presentation!

Baked Oatmeal I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
Edible but very average. I was really shocked this wasn't better tasting! It smelled so fantastic while baking and looked delicious. Sadly, it tasted very plain and bland. Texture was a little weird too. I'd recommend adding lots more spices and maybe apples if you want a flavoful meal!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
Okay, I tried this twice. The first time they were terrible. Very blah taste. Honestly, I would've rather just eaten plain old peanut butter. But I decided to try again and tweak the recipe just a touch. So on my 2nd attempt, I used a dash of vanilla and used brown sugar instead of white sugar. This batch turned out better but still weren't anything worth writting home about. Better flavor but still not worth the calories. On the upside they only took a minute to whip up and made zero mess in the kitchen.

Peanut Butter Cookies IX

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
These were suprisingly good! I followed the recipe exactly and had great results. My 1st batch was in the oven for 8 minutes but seemed slightly not done in the middle so the next batch I left in the oven for 10 minutes and got a perfect cookie. Not too hard, not too chewy. Just right and great with a glass of milk. I kept some leftover dough in the fridge for a couple days and that seemed to do fine.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2007
Oh WOW!!! This was incredibly easy and sooo delicious! The aroma coming from the oven was fantastic and the taste was even better! I followed the recipe exactly but used bottled spices instead of fresh ones. Still turned out great!

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This was easy enough to make but tasted just average. I think I should've used the barbecue sauce which I'd omitted based off several reviews I read. Good with fresh, hot buttered cornbread and a glass of cold milk. This makes alot, I froze almost a half gallon of it.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
I hadn't made bread in years but tried out this recipe today. It was super easy, came out just perfect! I did scale it down so that it only made one loaf instead of two. Next time I make it I plan to turn it into cinnamon bread. Can't wait!!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Very creamy texture! I was happily suprised that it wasn't even slightly lumpy. Easy to make and loved that it's a one-bowl kinda recipe. Conveinent in that it takes just basic ingredients that I always have on hand. Only thing I'm not crazy over was the slightly bitter taste. I think next time I make this I'll try it with slightly less cocoa and slightly more sugar.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
I made these last night and they are unbelievable! Literally took 5 minutes start to finish then 18 minutes in the oven. Very little cleanup afterward as an added bonus! So soft and so chocolatey! I did half the recipe and baked them in a round 8 inch pan. I also added 4 tbsp of chocolate syrup to the batter. This will be my brownie recipe from now on!

Enchilada Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
I made this last night. It was easy to make. Some reviews on here mentioned that the shells were awkward to fill but I actually found them super easy to work with. Looked great in the casserole dish after being cooked and would make a nice presentation if company were over for dinner. This was DELICIOUS! I used extra cumin and left out the oregano. I served the shells over a bed of mexican rice and topped them with a little extra shredded cheese and a dallop of sour cream. My husband raved about this dish!

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2007
I made this with great anticipation last week. It was easy to make, very little mess or clean up needed. My only complaint is that after being in the fridge, the graham crackers got a little bit on the soggy side. It was still decent but would have been much better if the graham crackers had retained a little of their crispness.

Grandma's Doughnuts

These were very easy and very quick. They were a little too sweet to eat more than a few bites though. Best right out of the hot oil. I rolled mine in cinnamon and sugar.
