My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm departing from the cooking style, which was fried foods, gravy, and lots of fat. I'm keeping the overall theme, though, which was always about getting together with the people you love to share good food.
My cooking triumphs
boeuf bourguignon (Julia Childs) for the office Christmas Potluck, Fruit Pizza for the IT support folks, my own bruschetta recipe for book club, our Christmas Eve lobster and Christmas Day prime rib.
My cooking tragedies
My son's face when he tried the broccali salad (NOT a hit,) when the pot burned dry under the artichokes, trying to get my older Father to eat shrimp that wasn't fried....
