Cajun Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2015
I juiced this up just a bit, I used some pork that I smoked on my smoker in place of chicken, I also used turkey drippings, from turkeys I smoked at thanksgiving, in place of chicken broth. Also added Okra, and a teaspoon of file powder. delicious!

Bubba's Best BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
Very good but I did change it up, substituted real maple syrup for cola, added fresh chopped onion, garlic instead of powder and salts, added a Serano pepper in place of Cayan pepper and chilli powder. Outcome is fantastic, sweet at first then a little heat

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2013
This is a fantastic recipe, I have made it several times already, and I am doing so again now. I have juiced it up just a bit, I make my own pumpkin mash, add 2 teaspoons Nutmeg and 2 Teaspoons Ground CLove 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Also I like to add 2 apples that I have covered in sugar and cinnamon cut into small pieces, After the batter is mixed I add the apple chunks and just kinda fold them in. Comes deliciously moist, the extra spices give a really great fall smell and taste. Your mouth will be watering as it cooks and once they come out 3 loaves does not last long!

Grampa Dave's Texas Chainsaw Bar-B-Que Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
To give it a little bang add a medium sized Serano pepper. Also I used honey in place of brown sugar. It will be sweet at first with a little follow up kick from the pepper. absolutely fabulous!

Sweet Spicy Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I made the sauce, and added extra garlic salt and pepper and soaked the wings for 6 hours, then I cooked them on my smoker, using mesquite for 30 min at 350. after taking them off the smoker I put them back in to the remaining sauce, which I had heated up and added a little corn starch to. When they were again fully coated I placed on cookie sheet and put in oven at 350 for 10 min. They were awesome! best wings I have had! But if you want them to have any kind of zip I would at least double up on the cayenne pepper, these wings were delicious but there was no zip them,.
