Kicked Up Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
Quite good. I like my food really spicy, so next time I think I would double or even triple or even quadruple the spices.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
They were ok. 8 ounces of cream cheese is way more than enough for 6 peppers. update: I used the rest of the cream cheese, omitted the bacon, added cheddar and cooked a little longer and they were tres fab!!

Butternut Squash Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
I had no idea how big my squash was so I just eyeballed the ingredients. Well that turned out well. This was really quite tasty! I shall definitely make this again in the future. Thanks!

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This makes enough for two pies. I didn't want to make two pies; I wanted to make one. I only had one pie crust on hand, so off to the store for another one for my unintentional second pie. Somebody needs to change the recipe to reflect this fact. The pies were very good, however.

Quite good. Very rich. Maybe I'll add a little Hershey's syrup next time.

Detroit Hot Honey Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
These were pretty good. Very sweet. I didn't think they were spicy at all. I might make them again with half the honey and twice as much hot sauce.

Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
If you like spicy, you'll never make regular grilled cheese again. These are quick, tasty, and surprisingly filling. I love spicy foods, so I usually double the amount of jalapeno slices. Yum!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
These don't taste like anything. Update: I had some leftover pumpkin puree so decided to try them again. Halved the recipe, kept the pumpkin puree at 1 cup and doubled the spices, added nutmeg, and cloves. Has the faintest taste of of the spices, no pumpkin taste, and mostly tastes like nothing still. Sorry, can't even give it 2 stars still.

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
Not bad. Eat them all fresh out of the oven, though. Reheated, they turn into flavorless rubbish.

Linguine with Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
As is, it is BLAND. Add some parmesan, some crushed red pepper and about 12 times as much garlic and it's yummy.

Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
Not bad. The maple syrup flavor is very strong. They taste like breakfast. Maybe next time I will use a lighter syrup. My girlfriend loved them, though!

Has less flavor than hot chocolate out of a packet and takes 8 times as long. No thanks.

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
I had never even eaten crab before I tried these. They were fantastic! I used the garlic aioli recipe on here, but my lemon juice was expired and putrid so I just used garlic and mayo. Delicious. YUM YUM YUM

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
2.5 stars. I'm being generous. There's no way this will be ready in 25 minutes. It took me an hour. Even if I somehow speed-cooked, 25 minutes is completely unrealistic. As for the food, it was OK. Pretty bland. So then I doubled the garlic AND the crushed red pepper. It was better but not by much. I won't make this again. Sorry.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
I reduced the sugar, per other reviewers' suggestions. What a silly mistake. It was so bitter, I couldn't even drink it. Apparently, I am the only person in the universe with a sweet tooth. So I added more sugar to my mug until it was palatable. Still not very good. It was drinkable, but not for me. Didn't even finish it. I'd rather the packets than this. I'll keep looking for a worthy homemade hot cocoa recipe. Sorry.
