Pan Fried Spinach

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
This recipe inspired a great dish! I used 4 slices of thick-cut bacon. After frying it, I kept the bacon grease, rather than adding butter and oil. I put the bacon, onion and garlic into a food processor, and then sautéed it in the grease with some mushrooms. Finally, I added the spinach, covered, and cooked it on low for 5 minutes. The result was flavorful and a little musky. My wife and I loved it!

Chocolate Waffles I

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
This was excellent. I just made it for some stay-over house-guests, and everyone was very happy. Let's be honest though, It's chocolate cake shaped like a waffle. I added semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a piece of a dark chocolate bar chopped up. I called them "Triple-chocolate waffles". One complaint, the sauce seemed too thick to do anything with. I added a splash more milk, making a nice creamy sauce. I dusted the waffles with confectioner's sugar and then drizzled the sauce over them before serving.

Korean Kimchi Jigeh Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
A few weeks ago, I made the "Spicy Cabbage Kimchi" recipe. I thought it was way too salty, and most of the reviews agreed. So, it sat in my fridge, uneaten. However, I used it to make this Korean Kimchi Jigeh Stew today, and the result was very tasty indeed! I used some chicken instead of Spam, because I can't bring myself to eat Spam, and I didn't add any salt -- due to the aforementioned salty kimchi.

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
Excellent and easy! On my first try, I followed some other reviewers' advice and used more honey and salt. This made it too sweet for use in sandwiches. The next time, I followed the recipe and it came out perfect.

Spicy Cabbage Kimchi

Wish I had read the reviews before starting. It's WAY too salty, and I rinsed the heck out of it.

Great Easy Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
I'm not a fan of waffles, but the missus requested them for supper tonight. I made this recipe and the family raved about them. I left out the lemon zest, and added some cinnamon. I think the egg-white treatment made them much fluffier.
