Hoagie Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
so simple and so tasty. I'm from philly so this is really an authentic taste. I personally don't like salami in any form so I substituted turkey for it and provolone for the american and my entire office loved it. added a little more oregano too (maybe b/c mine is older and not as potent. they ate the entire recipe in a morning and this makes A LOT! very easy.

Spaghetti Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This is very good albeit a little lacking in flavor. I added some basil and oregano to the s.c mix as well as addtl cheese. I mixed the pasta and s/c instead of layering them. don't like dry noodles. will make again w/a little extra sauce and more spice.

Cider Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
Thought this was pretty good. Had to add extra cider since it thickened up way too much. My kids didn;t like the cider (but i really think they didn't like the swiss cheese. But i ate the rest and enjoyed it.

Curry Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
This was good but in my opinion, the soy sauce way overpowered the curry flavor. I'll make it again but next time cut way back on the soy or leave it out altogether. Loved the toasted pumpkin seeds on it. I did them in a dry skillet instead of the oven and they were ready in a flash.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
I'm confused by this recipe. I made it on tues, reheated it the next day for a chili cook off at work. It was so-so on tues but better on weds. By the time I took it home after the cook off, it was better yet. It has a delayed reaction in spiciness. Starts out mild then builds in intensity. I personally thought this was just an ok to fairly good chili but i don't understand the rave reivews at all. And out of 8 entries, it didn't even place so go figure. I thought it was good but i'm still on the quest for the ultimate chili recipe.

Apple-Cheddar Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
I loved this salad! the dressing is super simple and the salad goes together in a couple minutes. I'm going to try pecans next time as they're more popular in my family but the walnuts were great too. I added more apple and used green since that's what i had on hand. Will also add a touch more mustartd to the dressing for a more intense flavor. definitely a keeper.

Very Best Blueberry Cobbler!

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
This was basincally very good however the next time I'll either use less sugar or add more flour to the berries as it came out very soupy. The taste was very good so it's worth making again.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
This is fairly tasty and certainly easy enough. Dinner was ready in about a hour hour which is great. My kids loved it and all went back for seconds. My only issue is it definitely needs salt-about 1 tsp. We topped it with shredded cheese and had a crusty bread to sop up the broth. A good hearty meal.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2008
This was very good. My veggie daughter Loved it. I coudn't find chili paste so substituted some red pepper flakes and it was great. Also used veg broth instead of chicken so she would eat it. It was very spicy to me but she would have taken it hotter.
