Bananas Foster Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
using a baggie didn't work for me. all the pieces stuck together so i ended up mixing them in a bowl by hand. but other than that, it was a delicious and simple dessert. my kids loved it.

Creamy Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
I have not eaten brussels sprouts in approx 40 years and had a hankering for them one day so I made these. I'm a convert. These were really good and even most of my kids liked them.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
This is wonderful and the tea is crystal clear with no baking soda taste at all. I have always poured the hot water over the sugar first to make a pseudo simple syrup and then added the tea bags to steep after the sugar is dissolved. Makes a "smoother" taste. I also added some fresh mint from the garden. OMG...heaven in a glass!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
very good but I cut back the butter to 1/2 c and next time would cut the sugar in half too. Pepper jack cheese is a good idea.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
wasn't too fond of this. i think the brown sugar was too much sweet. and there was too much sauce for the dish. maybe cut the whole amount in half.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
excellent and soooo easy. good good reviews from my tasters. 2nd time i made them, I cut the butter in half and thinned out the sauce with a little water. Also used Sprite instead of Mountain Dew since that's what I had. Excellent.

Sour Cream Apple Pie Deluxe

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
Very tasty. I used a sweeter apple instead of my traditional grannies and it came out great. My mother, who's not an apple fan, loved this pie.

Ghirardelli® Triple Chocolate Truffle Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This is one of the best and easiest desserts I have ever made. I used generic chips though and it still came out great! Agree with other reviewers that you can only eat a very slim piece in one sitting. VERY rich and filling. But oh my gish, a chocolate lover's dream!!!

Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: May 20, 2010
Very good and easy. I made mini tarts out of this in the pre-made phylllo shells for someone who can't eat dairy. He loved them. Very tasty dessert-used non dairy cool whip and it was a total hit.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This was very good and siimple to prepare. I think I would add some "real" clams also to hep up the clam content. The canned stuff is good but tends to get lost with the veggies.

Curried Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This was not my favorite as written. The white pepper way over-powered the curry so I would cut back on the pepper by half and at least double the curry (which I already did anyway and still coudn't taste it). My daughter and I both thought this was ok, but for personal preferences, we would each like a combination of white and wild rice instead of all wild. And I totally disagree with a previous reviewer, the chicken and wild rice soup on this site still reigns supreme in our mouths.

This is the easiest and best tasting potato dish I've ahd in a long time. Delicious! the outside is crispy and flavorful with the crusty cheese and the inside is so creamy and smooth. My kids loved this so will definitley be making these regularly.
