About this Cook
I came from a Family that ate basic meat and potatoes - When T.V. started cooking shows I learned that there was a whole world of cooking that intriged me.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake but my Husband loves to cook and together we can come up with some pretty good stuff.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm the one who gets asked to make the Cole Slaw for B.B.Q's in the summer and the turnips for Thanksgiving.
My cooking tragedies
Honestly - The first time I made a meatloaf as a new wife I just made it with the combination meat for "meatloaf" - no bread crumbs, egg, seasoning ... nothing ! The package said for meatloaf so I figured it had it all in there ... BLAH !!!

Orange Cake
This is the Best Cake. I also used vanilla pudding and orange extract. The second time I made it I cooked the glaze an extra 5 minutes and it came out thicker, but remember there is sugar in this and it can turn hard and burn ones fingers if spilled on. The second cake was ever better than the first and my Husband wouldn't let me share with the Girls at work.

Delicious Raisin Nut Banana Bread
This was good and easy. I had all the ingrediants and it certainly was moist. I added about an extra 1/4 cup of raisins. This went into my recipe file.
