Baked Pineapple

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
FABULOUS! Sounded strange but I trusted the other reviews and I'm gald I did. I took this to two separate Thanksgiving dinners and it was a hit at both. This will definitely become a staple in my recipe collection.

I was planning to use this recipe for a vegetarian relative but it was so good that I will continue to make it for the meat lovers in the family as well. Very good flavor.

Pumpkin Crunch Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2004
YUM! I served this tonight to my Bible study group and everyone devoured it and even the guys wanted the recipe! I accidentally bake it 30 minutes too long and it still turned out great. A definite keeper for my fall recipe collection.

Pork Tenderloin with Tomato and Pepper Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2004
This is the best pork I've ever had...so tender! The green chillis were a little hot for us so I omitted them the second time. A definite keeper!

Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2004
I always have trouble cooking pork but this turned out great, although it was a tad dry. I didn't have lime juice so I used key lime juice instead and it gave it a nice, tropical kick. I will definitely make this again...a nice dish for a low-carb diet.

Gingerbread Men

These cookies turned out great even though I was a little skeptical about the butterscotch pudding. I am going to make again for a cookie exchange next month.

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

This was great tasting and a very quick dish to make. The meat was very tender and moist and I had lots leftover for sanwiches. Will make again!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
These did not turn out as good as other snickerdoodles I've had. At the suggested baking time, the cookies were still completely raw so I had to bake them a little longer. Perhaps that was my error. They still tasted good but were a tad too crispy. I will try them again.

Candy Cane Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
I will have to agree with DROOSMOM. These were awful! The dough was so sticky and flimsy, I had to add a bunch of flour and it still didn't help. Also, when trying to put the sugar/peppermint candies on top after baking, they didn't stick but just rolled right off. It did help to sprinkle on the mixture prior to baking but that didn't help these unflavorful cookies that came out looking like a 5 year old's art project. Cute idea, but not worth the effort.

Candy Cane Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
These cookies were a disappointment. They took a lot of ingredients and a lot of time to make and weren't very flavorful. If I was making them again, I would not chop a chocolate bar by hand but buy the pre-chopped Hershey chocolate chunks. Also, rather than coarsely chopping the candy canes (which took a LONG time), I'd grind them in the food processor to a very fine consistency. Then you still get the flavor without large hard pieces in the cookie that might crack a tooth. I think this recipe does have some potential if someone is willing to take the time to experiment.

Irish Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
These cookies were very quick and easy to make and had a great flavor. The other "raters" were right in that you must cook these for 15 minutes, not 5. I am taking them to a cookie exchange tomorrow and am sure all will like them.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2002
This dish didn't have much flavor until I added many more seasonings but I did like the garlic. I tried this by sauteeing and baking and the baking was much better...chicken was juicier and healthier too!

Banana Berry Smoothie III

I did not care for this (was way too fruity) but my 3 year old daughter loved it. It was a great healthy treat for her and the extra saved well in the fridge for the next day.

Reuben Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2002
YUMMY!! I have been a long-time lover of reuben sanwiches and this dish did not disappoint! It was the perfect blend of ingredients and was so flavorful! I did substitute 1000 Island dressing for the Russian. I will most definitely make this as often as possible.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2002
The flavor of this was not as good as I anticipated although the leftovers made good sandwiches. I think I let it cook a little too long and the chicken was dry. I will try this again with some modifications.
