Three Bean Slow Burn Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Love this recipe, and have gotten a few compliments on it too. The changes I've made are to use jalapenos rather than habaneros, no taco seasoning, add some cayenne pepper and use only 2 cans diced tomatoes. I've also made it with ground turkey, not beef.

Black Bean and Corn Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
This is delicious! I'll definitely make this again. I ate some as a snack and the rest I used as a salsa dip with tortilla chips. Based on other tips I modified it a bit. Removed celery and cheese. Added 1 diced jalapeno, dash of cayenne pepper, cilantro and a little salt.

African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
Made this for a rainy day lunch. Delicious. I made two small changes to the recipe. First, I didn't add any cloves, and secondly I used natural crunchy peanut butter rather than bothering with chopping nuts. A very good mix of flavors. I wouldn't mind adding a little more cheyenne pepper, but I wasn't missing anything just the way it was. Certainly recommended.

Deep Fried Jalapeno Slices

I made these for the weekly football fest and got a few compliments on them. I used 2/3 cup beer which was just about right, I think. Served with melted cheese sauce and sour cream. will make again

Rosemary Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2004
I got great compliments when I made this for dinner guests. Would definitely make again. Very simple. I added extra olive oil and some salt pepper the second time around, which came out even better. Great with garlic mashed potatos and southern Green Beans.

Valentino's Pizza Crust

not bad for a quick crust, but it was a little difficult to work with and as mentioned elsewhere did have a biscuity texture.

Delicious, might go well with some pasta marinara.

Rich White Bread

Nice and easy. Only the second loaf I've made, and it tastes great! I used a mixer and bowl instead of processor, and it worked just fine. Enjoyed it with olive oil dip.
