Bacon Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2014
The All-Recipes community was right. This is a great recipe. I stuffed the cavity with onion and garlic. Used beef broth. Loved the flavor of the chicken and the drippings. Definite keeper.

Cocoa Cherry Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
Really tasty! I browned and baked the roast in a skillet. When the meat finished baking I let it rest on a plate. I then added the cherry preserves and vinegar to the drippings, warmed it through and it was fabulous - spicy and sweet sauce for the pork. Thank you for the great recipe!

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
I made this with Granny Smith apples and thought it was wonderful. The sauce gave the right amount of sweetness for the apples. Next time I will double the crumble mixture.

Beer Brisket

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2012
Really tasty. I made mine in the crock pot on low for about 8 hours. The brisket was tender and had a good flavor. Leftover will become tacos and barbeque beef.

Scalloped Potatoes II

Perfect potatoes! Thanks for the prior reviews - I made a roux and that worked out great. I used yukon golds thinly sliced. Definitely will be making these again!

Not lovin' the taste of these. Banana over powering and cookie too gooey. Maybe I am just not a banana and PB fan!

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
Very tasty. Definitely watch to not keep them in the oven too long. And leave them on the cookie sheet for the 5 minutes before the cooling rack. Will definitely be doing this one again!!

Denise's Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
YUMMY! I used the suggestions from the others. Cut the peanuts to half - added peanut butter. Doubled the flavorings. I added more garlic (love it!), cut the ginger and cilantro down(not a big fan). The flavor was amazing. And there was the slightest bit of spice-heat. Will be making this one again and again!!

Famous Pork Chops

Simple and yummy! I use gluten free cheddar crackers and mix them with a little soy butter - makes a "butter" cracker. Bakes up juicy!

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I love this recipe. I double the beans to make it thicker. I cut the jalapeno by half. Still gives enough spice. After it cooks, I will take about half and swirl in the blender to help thicken. Excellent soup!

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Thanks to the previous posts! This was a huge success for a dinner party last night. It does take more than a 15 minute prep - or maybe I am just slow! :-) I did not have port so used red wine plus brown sugar suggested in a previous post. This will definitely be made againg - will double or triple the sauce volume though!

THIS IS FANTASTIC! I had this at a party and everyone was raving about it. I used chicken broth instead of the condensed broth and water. It turned out perfect!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

REALLY good. I made it for a party and everyone loved it. I had made it with yellow onions and added a little more wine. It came out a little on the sweet side. Next time - and there will be a next time - I will use white onions and some garlic powder.

Chicken and Black Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
I made this in a crock pot. YUMMY!! I used frozen chicken breasts and had them sitting on top of the ingredients for hte first 4 hours. Then I cut up the chicken and cooked for another 2. That was plenty of time and the rice cooked great! Next time I will add a little garlic. Really great recipe!

Wow!!! This one is a definite keeper!! I used fresh rosemary and the mix with the garlic created a great aroma in the house. Gently flavored the meat. Excellent!
