French Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
This was delicious! I made it the day before and hen when I reheated it the next night i added the mustard, which added a nice zing but didn't overpower. When my husband read the recipe he asked me not to put all the mustard in, but I did and he didn't even notice. Porbbaly the first stew recipe to turn out and I will definitely make again.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
I just finished making this and I have to say it is divine. I am in big trouble because I am trying to stop myself from eating it all. I used Slpenda for the sugar and added more vanilla. I also used craisins for the raisins. So, quick and easy for such great flavour. I will definitely be making this again!

Not awesome, but not horrible, a nice change for brussel sprouts. I used frozen brussels.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
This was okay, but with the oil it becomes relly greasy. I amde them twice and the second time I transfeered from the skillet to a baking dish and they were still really greasy. I didn't burn my hand on the skillet handle the second time though.

Confetti Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
This was delicious, I only used the red pepper and it added a fresh flavour. Added the frozen peas once I took it off the heat and stirred. A nice change from plain rice and certainly something I will make again!

Jewish Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
This is perfect. I accidently added an extra cup of flour, so I had to add 2 cups of sour cream and it still came out perfect. For the filling, I used brown sugar and I mixed everything together with the melted butter and then put that in the middle and on the top. Fabulos warm, nice and moist. Will definitley make again!

These are a great way to use all the garden zucchini, I also liked to add some shredded cheddar or mozzarella for a change.

Parmesan Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2007
These were awesome, I even used fat frees our cream and they were amazing. Had with steak and then ate the leftovers over rice with some peas. It is like a stroganoff flavour with the added awesome of the parmesan. Will definitely make again!

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2007
These are preety good - they are actually juicy. I used crushed up baquette herb crackers for the crumb, which added a nice flavour. I only used 1lb of ground turkey, used 1 whole egg beaten, and added some worcestershire. I cooked them the day before on the BBQ and had one last night for dinner. Was a nice healthy alternative to ground beef and had a nice flavour. I will definitely make these again.

Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
This was perfect. I used a can of tomatoes that I simmered down for the sauce and then added the rest of the ingredients. Can't wait to try it with tomatoes from the garden. I really like the nutmeg and used 1% cream instead of the half and half.

Peachy Moist Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
These taste delicious, but did not rise and are very dense, used peaches that had been frozen, so they may have been a little wet, would like to try it with fresh peaches, but the season is over, so next year.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
Really, I don't think this recipe needs another 5 star review, but too bad. Made this for an anniversary party and it had rave reviews, including one older gentleman who asked for a container of the fruit to take home. I left out the kiwis and added chopped peaches and plums. Used splenda and Splenda brown for the sugars and strawberry/rhubarb for the preserves. It marinated for 2 days and the flavour was amazing. The cinnamon chips were also a relevation, people kept eating those without the salsa. Those I will make again just for a snack.

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
I've been wanting to try this recipe for years. This was fantastic, used fresh tomatoes from the garden and used canned jalapenos (added more) and added some of thejuice. The pico de gallo is one of best things I have ever tasted and it was nice in the Quesadillas and as a topping. Used the smaller tortillas and made a whole bunch. Since there were only 2 of us there were leftovers and was excited to have the leftovers for my lunch (somone even asked what I was eating) I will be making another batch of the pico de gallo tonight to have with tortilla chips.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
Delicious cookies, just what we were looking for. I used unsalted butter instead of margarine and brown sugar splenda and regular splenda for the sugars. I also added chocolate chips. Very quick and easy. The person we gave them to loved them as did my husband who keeps sneaking into the cookie jar for more.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
These are beyond amazing. I used fat free sour cream and splenda. The mixture seemed a little dry but worked out in the end. I added craisins and sliced almonds and they came out gorgeous and are delicious. You don't even need to eat them with butter they are not dry at all and still have plenty of flavour. Will definitely bake these often!

This was perfect. Used regular mustard and real garlic, added some onion flakes. Perfect on our grilled chicken and much nicer than from a jar. Will definitely use again!
