Snow on the Mountain Green Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
These were delicious, I had to use frozen beans, but with the lemon they tasted so fresh. I accidently cooked them too long but they were still delicious. Looking forward to my garden crop of beans. This is good hot or cold. Anything with feta is tasty.

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
This was good. I left out the chives. I also scaled this to make 2 burgers just for me and used way more blue cheese than was asked for. All the flavours meshed well. Nice change of pace.

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
Nice, quick and easy. Really nice to work with but it did end up having a really floury taste after baking. Used it for rhubarb pie and it held up really nicely. Might experiment with other recipes but this works in a pinch.

Kentucky Butter Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
Thsi was awesome! I made exactly as is, except used the 1 tbsp vingear to milk trick to make the buttermilk. My oven cooks hot so I did overcook it a touch but the inside still is a perfect texture. Used it for strawberry shortcake and was perfect. Used the chopsticks to poke holes into the cake. Wasn't wet or greasy at all.

Rich Pasta for the Poor Kitchen

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
This was perfect! I had to use salt-free margarine due to diet constraints, but everything else was the same. I was worried that I used too much cayenne, but once the parmesan was on there it was perfect, nice amount of heat and so much flavour. I also threw in some cooked green beans and they took on the flavour and were great too. Quick, easy and delicious! I will certainly make this often! Thanks for the recipe.

Bierocks (German Meat Turnovers)

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
These are pretty tasty little treats. I used my own dough. I left out the salt, but used the lemon pepper. Also used regualr cheddar cheese. Kind of a pain to fill, but once you bake them and stick in the freezer they are an awesome quick snack. Will definitely make again.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
This was fantastic! I had purcahsed some prepared chicken breasts for chicken parm and decided to make this instaed. The sauce is amazing! I kept the chicken seperate to maintain some crispyness. Have never had arrabiata with chicken. Nice change of pace. Will definitely make again. Even better is that I will also eat the leftovers.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
Okay, these really are the best. Made the recipe pretty much to the tee, except used half splenda/half regular sugar. I also used half oil, half mango applesauce (One of those lunch pack containers). I forgot the topping so I just brushed the tops with margarine and then sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top. The texture is perfect, nice and light and muffiny. The flavour is perfect too. Will definitely use this recipe from now on. Would like to try it with strawberries or peaches in the summer.

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
I've been wanting to try this forever but it sounded a little bland, boy was I wrong! I seasoned the pork chops with lemon pepper seasoning, and simmered the chops covered with the mixture and they weren't tough at all. Served with rice that we topped with excess veggie mixture and that was tasty too! Definitely will make again.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
Wow! What a great surprise! Made last night and marinaded the chicken in the wing sauce before cooking. I did not use as much dressing or wing sauce and it was still pretty sloppy until it cooled down a bit. Nice change from regular pizza. Would like to get some veggies on it next time.

Perfection! I used fat-free sourcream and low fat mayo, I also used fresh garlic. Nice flavour and great consistency. I will definitely make this again as it tastes soo good and is soo easy. I will add more bleu cheese as I only had a little bit.

Mushroom Rice

This was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. I used dehaydrated minced onion and beef broth instead of chicken but it came out perfect and we both really enjoyed it. Definitely will make again.

Parmesan Knots

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
These are fantastic! I scaled it down to using 1 package of biscuits. I also used margarine (no-salt) and real garlic. I just melted the margarine in the microwave with the oregano and garlic, then added the parmesan. Came out perfect and we could not stop eating them. They were so quick and easy I don't see how we won't be making them on a regualr basis. I will try to make it with my own dough sometime.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
This is awesome! I used the oreo crumbs for the crust and more butter. My oven runs hot so I did end up overcooking it. The flavour was still amazing and rich. I may use just a little less of the condensed milk, but I also used a full cup of chocoalte chips in the cake itself. This is definitley a cake I will make again and I am lactose intolerant.

This was amazing! I did use real garlic and parmesan since that was all I had. The texture is lovely and perfect, and the flavour is divine. Will certainly make again and we also want to try it as breadsticks.

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
Not bad, added some worcestshire sauce and shredded cheese to the mix, other than that did not change a thing. Had a nice texture, wasn't dry and crumbly, Tasted better the next day, but still good. Probably make again.
