About this Cook
I am a mother in my 30's with 3 children. I work full time and I use this site often for quick and easy suggestions or all day cooking on my days off.
My favorite things to cook
I grill and bake everything. I do not fry anything, even though I will saute veggies or meat. I make a lot of casseroles since I have a family of 5.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I cook a lot of Danish and Swedish items when I have time.
My cooking triumphs
I cooked my First Turkey this year. My Mom has always done it and I told her I would like to give it a try. I soaked it in a brine that I got off this website and my Mom said it was the best Turkey she ever had.
My cooking tragedies
I make double batches of main dishes so I have leftovers for my kids after school or for my husband to heat up on nights I have to work.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie
I have been making this pie now for 2 years. I will stick with this one permanantly. I made four this year and for Christmas I make it again but instead I drizzle melted caramel on top after it bakes and sprinkle roasted chopped pecans on it for a different taste at Christmas.

Peach Salsa II
This was awesome. I did do some touching up though. I didn't add any sugar since my peaches were very sweet and ripe and I added a 32 ounce can of chopped tomatoes and a 4 ounce can of tomato paste. I also only used 1 jalapeno since my kids would be eating it. I made 15 pint size jars and I am making more today!! Excellent recipe!!

Tasty Green Beans
I make this recipe all the time. It gives my family a break from traditional old green beans. My family loves it and I have now shared it with others.
