Sovre Barriga

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
The flavor was great! I used cooking onion since I didn't have red. I used bouillion since I didn't have beef broth. The flank steak fell apart but still needed to be cut across the grain to make it more chewable. I would certainly make again.

Freezer Peach Pie Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
Love this recipe! Easy to put into the freezer and pull out, then pop into premade pie crusts. Everyone who tasted this thought it delicious. A couple friends have prepared peach pies this way after tasting this.

Tasty recipe, but next time I would smash the rosemary a bit.

Garbage Plate Sauce

This was a good basic recipe. I'd make it again but I'd add more cayenne and a little less cloves.

Green Beans 'n' Celery

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
I cooked the beans and celery in the pressure cooker for 2 minutes and then did everything else in the recipe. My company really enjoyed it. It was truly a colorful dish!

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
Delicious! Spicy sausage was too much for my husband, but I thought it delicious. An easy to make, healthy soup. (I took the sausage out of the casing to cook with the garlic and drained it after it was cooked. I cooked it an extra 15 min. with liquids before I added the carrots.) Otherwise I followed the recipe. I did add a little cooked orzo as some suggested. Will be making again with sweet sausage.

Red Lentil Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
I made it just as the recipe called for. I felt the flavor was too sharp, maybe it was the curry paste. I would not make it again.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
This salad has been such a hit over and over. I make the dressing with Splenda at times. It is still really good. A diabetic friend really appreciated that.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
My husband said this was the best meatloaf that I have ever made. I made it with ground turkey and just used a little less mustard in the topping. So easy. I was worried that the mix was so moist so I added a little more oatmeal (used old fashion) and it turned out to be a nice moist meatloaf.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
I might have cooked it too long for the lemon was rubbery. I think I would have liked it a bit tarter.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
Like many others, I didn't bake it. It didn't seem to need it at all. I would have added another layer of bananas. It was tasty and pretty easy.

How great to have a quiche without the extra crust. Easy and tasty.

Raspberry Tart

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
Everyone loved this tart, especially the crust. After it was baked and cooled, I lined it with 4 oz. of cream cheese that had been mixed with powdered sugar and a little vanilla. I used strawberries (halved, cut side down) instead of raspberries. I melted apple jelly in the microwave and brushed it over the fruit. An excellent, easy recipe.

Mocha Cooler

I am hooked on McDonald's Frappes. This recipe is so close to them, that I will probably not be buying Frappes anymore. I have served them to a number of people and the recipe has gotten raves from everyone. Thank you, Susan!

Rosemary-Scented Pork Loin Stuffed With Roasted Garlic, Dried Apricots and Cranberries and Port Wine Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This is an excellent recipe. Easy and very impressive to serve. I was generous with the olive oil. Dried rosemary is fine to use though I used less than the 3 T. calleld for of fresh rosemary. After I covered it with the extra oil, apple jelly, garlic and rosemary, I baked it, but did not finish the recipe with the wine, etc. People were very impressed with this(The reciped was increased to served a party of 35).

Pineapple Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Before I made this recipe, I read reviews and made adjustments. I just used 1/2 cup sugar, 6 tablespoons of butter and used 12-grain bread. I have now made it for two events. People have raved about it. With these adjustments I give it a 5-star rating.

Apple Orchard Punch

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2002
I was looking forward to usinge this recipe (for a very large gathering...at least 200 people) because of all the great reviews of it. I went and bought all the gingerale, apple juice and orange juice I needed. When I went to look for the frozen cranberry juice there was non to be found at the leading stores in our area. I used regular bottled cranberry juice out of necessity...I am I afraid I cannot rave about the punch after all this.
