Key Lime Pie VII

I loved this recipe. I made 2 and it was so simple. I did not use fresh key lime juice, instead I used pre-juiced Key lime juice. I also only used 2 cans of condensed milk... Everyone loved the pie. Initially I didn't say I made it, just to say what they'd say, and when they liked it I said I made it and they were very shocked

Kickin' Collard Greens

I really liked this recipe. I am a newly wed and am just now starting to cook "real" food. So this was my first time making them. People really really liked it... I like bacon so used the bacon grease and about 8-10 pieces of bacon. Made 2 pots. One for my house and another for Easter dinner. I did add apple cider vinegar. Husband ate so many bowls... YUMMY

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

I made these cookies and they were sooo good.. very peanut buttery and chocolatey.... I ended up using half a reese's towards the last batch.. very sweet but yummy

Country Pound Cake

I made this for a pre-thanksgiving pot-luck at work and my co-workers said they loved it.... I didn't really eat any because we had so much other stuff to eat and I was full.. What I didn't like about it was that it was dryer than I'd wanted.. or shall i said harder... As this was my first time making a poundcake, I went exactly by the recipe and it was not soft as I'd wanted. Now I know to check around the 50 minute - 1 hour mark.... I do plan on doing it again this weekend to prove my thoughts wrong...

Cajun Cabbage with Rice

I made this for a pre-thanksgiving potluck and I made a batch for home... It was not what I'd expected.... I followed the recipe to a T and if I do it again I'd definitely do some things a little different. 1.Blanch the cabbage just a bit because they were harder than I wanted 2. Wait until the last 10-20 minutes to add the cheese... it got pretty dark too soon. **The filling was pretty good..... It wasn't bad though....Co-workers said they liked it

Chicken Marsala

It was ok... I don't know if I was missing something, but it was Carrabas... My husband liked it.. I mean I did too, but something wasn't right. I didn't use Sherry. I did what others said and used 3/4 cups of Marsala. I'd definitely try it again. Oh, I also didn't use breast. I'd started thawing out drumsticks, and used them. **shrugs** Either way, It was a nice take on chicken, since I don't eat it that often

Mushroom Rice

I really liked this dish... I will say that the rice didn't cook completely. It was time for the stove to go off before fully cooked.. i tried to let it sit a little longer but it got a little too sticky.. I also didn't have any chicken broth in the house so I used Beef broth.. really good I used all of the mushrooms and a lot of onions.. I LOVE THIS DISH
