Cherry Nut Muffins

I've made this recipe three times now. The first two times I made them, I used a mixer and they were the ugliest muffins I've ever seen (but they still tasted delicious). This last time, I mixed everything by hand and they turned out much, much better. The texture is lighter, fluffier, they rise higher in the oven... I still think they are a little on the sweet side, so next time I will cut back a bit on the sugar.

Taco Seasoning I

Perhaps some of the spices I used were older than they should have been, but the flavor of this seasoning did not live up to my expectations. It smelled wonderful, but didn't taste quite as good. I would have preferred something more tangy and less peppery. I think I'll stick with my current packet-mixing tactics.

Ali's Greek Tortellini Salad

The flavor of this salad is nice (although I would maybe tone down the onion a bit next time), but there's something strange about the texture of this dish. I ended up kind of eating the tortellini and spinach separately -- both elements tasted great with the oil/vinegar mixture, but they just didn't work well for me together.

Grilled Corn on the Cob

you definitely want to peel back the husks beforehand, unless you're the kind of person who would enjoy finding a corn borer on your food after grilling.

Japanese-Style Sesame Green Beans

Out of all the recipes I've tried from, this one is my favorite. It's simple, quick, and delicious. (And it works just as well with broccoli!)

Herb and Chicken Pasta

I found this recipe a little bland, but I left out the cajun seasoning, so that may have something to do with it. I'll probably try making it again, but I will definitely add some broccoli next time to give it some color and flavor, and modify the herbs a bit.
