Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Made this tonight. Followed recipe with the following changes: after sauce was cooked, added pasta and sprinkled 2 tbsp of flour over the mixture to thicken. Also added a container of sliced baby bella mushrooms when I added the pasta. Was delicious. Even got a thumbs up from my husband which is high praise indeed!!

Grandma McAndrews' Irish Soda Bread

Made exactly according to the recipe and it turned out awesome! The last time I made Irish soda bread (from a different recipe) it was so dry. But, this was moist with just a hint of sweetness. YUM!

Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

This was relatively easy and very tasty. Used the base recipe and made a couple of additions. 1) added about 2 tbsp beef bouillon granules. 2) added about 2tbsp Tastefully Simple smoky paprika and garlic dip seasoning. 3) before serving dissolved about 2tbsp cornstarch in water to thicken the "gravy" up some. Yum! A good fall/winter dish that I will definitely make again!!!

Tomato Bisque II

This bisque was fantastic! It turned out very similar to the restaurant one that made me look for the recipe. I used chicken bouilion cubes instead of beef, used 2% milk, and light butter. I also used canned diced tomatos. One can of Italian flavored, and two cans of regular. I ran one can of the regular through the food processor. This is definitely a keeper!

Chicken Enchilada Dip

This recipe went over extremely well at a party tonight. It was the only appetizer to be devoured completely. I used half a jar of sliced jalapenos and ran it through the food processor to dice them finely. I made a double batch and also used 1 packet of hot taco seasoning and about a cup of sour cream. Everyone thought it was delicious and I had both women AND men asking for the recipe!! I will definitely be making again.
