Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2014
I love this. I love this recipe so much! I have made it multiple times and know I will continue to make it. I have switched over to using fresh green beans instead of canned which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The fresh green beans add a nice fresh taste and texture to this dish. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Yogurt Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2014
I have made this dish multiple times with different dried chilies (man the habaneros were HOT!), however I can't get my hands on curry leaves. I have asafoetida powder which I thought would be the harder ingredient to find, but no curry leaves. So I will need to try to buy some from Amazon to try this rice in all its glory. In the meantime, the rice is still very tasty without the curry leaves and no substitution made. This recipe has frequented a few of my menus throughout the summer and I am sure it will continue to pop up frequently. Thank you!

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2014
I loved this, I just wish I owned a grill because I am sure that would just enhance the flavor even more so! We did cook these on a George Foreman and they still came out tasty, but once I get a grill I will definitely try this again. Thank you!

Zucchini Miso

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
This was my second time making it and it was still as good as the first time, if not better! It is a very simple dish and tastes wonderful once you pull it out of the fridge. The only change I made this second time was increased the chili paste from 1/8 tsp (I cook for 2 so I adjust the serving size and that was the amount it adjusted to) to 1 Tbsp. You still really couldn't taste too much of the heat from upping the chili paste, but at least you got some of the flavor since with the original amount you couldn't taste any of it and it seemed pointless. Thank you!

Sesame Tuna with Soy Miso Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
5 stars all the way! I loved this dish; the flavor on the tuna was amazing! I made this pretty much "as is" except since I didn't have any powdered wasabi I smothered the tuna steaks in wasabi paste for a bit before Step 2. It still came out with a nice wasabi taste! I also made the sauce, however I made a second sauce that consisted of the wasabi paste, greek yogurt, and fresh ground horseradish which complimented everything perfect. 10/10 will make again!

Gourmet Thai Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2014
This pizza was delicious! I made it exactly as is (dropped the serving down to 4 so that is was a more fitting size for myself and my SO) and it came out delicious! I used peanut butter I had made the day before and I cooked this in a cast iron skillet (place skillet in over to heat up while over preheats, take out, grease and sprinkle corn meal, then place in the dough and topping and cook for 20 minutes). I also added the carrots and cilantro to the pizza when it came out and it was amazing. The flavor was good, it had just the right amount of spice (I may have used a tad more chili oil than the recipe calls for but we like spice) and the crust was wonderful. We will be making this again in the near future, thanks for sharing!

I loved these! We didn't change the recipe at all and they came out perfectly! Made a side of hollandaise sauce to dip in and voila! Dinner is served!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

I loved this! It was so simple to make and the pork chops came out perfect! We didn't need to change anything for this and served it with a side of white rice. Perfection!

Slow Cooker Cornish Hens

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2013
I was very skeptical at first due to the green olive, but everything blended together so perfectly it was great. The meat was practically falling off of the bone! The only thing I did differently was add a second can of the Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup to the pot and was so glad I did!

Slow-Cooker Posole

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
This was amazing! Way better than I honestly expected! I made this exactly as stated except for the cook time since we are out of the house for 8 hours when we go to work. I combined everything like the recipe said to, and then just cooked the entire thing on low heat until we came home from work (about 8 hours later). Came out perfect! Just serve with some sour cream, diced onions, chopped jalapenos, and some avocado. I will be making this again for sure!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
This came out wonderfully! I was a little worried at first since I have never used cream in my pasta dishes, but I am no longer worried! I did lessen the amount of heavy cream and also substituted part of the heavy cream for cream cheese, but I am sure if I had just left in the heavy it still would have been tasty. I will be recreating this again with my own tweaks to make it a dish I can serve again and again!

Death By Garlic

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Oh man, this came out so garlicky it was amazing! We added in way more garlic than the recipe called for because my boyfriend and I love garlic that the recipe calls for and we couldn't put this down! On top of the garlic cloves we also had minced garlic in there. This made about 6 servings so we were eating the leftovers all week long and it was still just as tasty as the first time I made it. We will be making this again!

Wisconsin Five-Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Yes, yes, and yes! I made these a while back and added a 1/2 - 3/4 cup pumpkin puree that I had on hand and they came out so good! I love the combination of the seafood and cheese, and even though I only used imitation crab the meal still came out super tasty. You should definitely try this one out!

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Very tasty meatball recipe. This was the recipe I used for my first homemade meatballs and I loved how simple and tasty they came out! I ended up adding mushrooms, crushed red peppers, and minced garlic to these and they came out so good! Just make your favorite pasta sauce and you are all good to go!

Pumpkin Ravioli

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
This recipe was delicious! Although I may have just used it as a building block for my own raviolis, I felt that this 'as is' is also very good. I especially liked adding the tomato to the breading portion as well. I will be trying this again with butternut squash very soon! If you are trying these out, do not become scared of the amount of time it will take to make them, They are well worth the time.
