Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
Would give this recipte 4 1/2 stars, but don't know how to click on half star. Also used 3/4 cup of milk and added 1 tsp. almond extract. Used frozed blueberries, (rolled on paper towel to absorb frost) then tossed with 1 tbsp. flour before adding mixture to Bundt pan. Lovely flavour. Served to company and they raved about recipe too. Definately a keeper! Thanks for sharing. Joyce

Hermits I

Made these for the 1st time - find the molasses flavour a bit overpowering. Cooked for 10 minutes - will make again and reduced molasses to 1/3 cup. Thanks for sharing. Joyce

Baked Omelet Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
Super - served two hungry men and myself for dinner with a tossed salad and toast. One doesn't like tomato so I placed sliced tomatoes on one side only, and then topped with cheese and a sprinkle of paprika. Very tasty and eye appealing. Many thanks!!

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2004
Read reviews before making and altered recipe to serve 8. I used 2 tablespoons of each marinate ingredient, except garlic (used 3 or 4 small garlic sections). Marinated chicken breasts for a couple of hours. Guests all raved about the flavour. Many thanks!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
FANTASTIC - also won't bother with the box mix now. Recipe made 12 small pancakes, more than enough for the two of us, but yield indicates serving for 8. All ingredients on hand just like your Grandma's cupboard. Thanks, Joyce

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
I used 3 eggs and 1/2 pkg of frozen chopped spinach as my 9" pie plate didn't appear to be deep enough. Nice idea to put foil on cookie sheet - no mess (just a couple of drips). The Quiche set well and presentation was wonderful with a golden crust. My husband said "it's the best". Thanks Kristen.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2003
Wonderful flavour. I read the reviews first and cut down on butter, used half of the spinach, half of the mushrooms, 3 eggs and 3/4 cup of milk. Filled a 9" pie crust. Will certainly add to my favourite recipes - husband gave it "thumbs up" too! Joyce

Baked Chicken with Peaches

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2003
I made half the recipe using 2 chicken breasts (with bone)and 2 legs. The taste was sensational. My husband was really impressed with the fresh peach flavour and presentation. I served it with chicken flavoured couscous enhanced with shredded zucchini. Would not hesitate to serve it to dinner guests. Joy

Fast Apple Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2003
My husband doesn't like rhubarb, but I do. I made this recipe when we had company last weekend, adding 1/4 cup of flour and 1 tsp of baking powder. The pie had a great consistency, not too juicy and sliced perfectly. The end product received excellent reviews, even from my husband. Will make it again.

Honey Garlic Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2002
Really enjoyed these spareribs. Next time I will bring the ribs to a boil first, simmer for 1/2 an hour and follow the recipe (for the wonderful flavour)using double foil as the sauce leaked under the foil onto the cookie sheet.
