Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
I omitted the onion and dry mustard and used a mixture of Vermont Cheddar, Mild Cheddar, and Sharp Cheddar and the American Cheese called for in the recipe. It was absolutely delicious. My husband, who is very picky about Macaroni and Cheese loved it too. I will definitely use this recipe instead of the store boxed one from now on.

Was easy to make. Substituted brown sugar for white and used part bread flour, part whole wheat flour. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly. Ate it with honey butter (recipe found on this website) My family loved it. Came out perfect. Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe.

Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I just made it for the first time as written. Just substituted onion powder for onion. Baked for 20 minutes and broiled for 5. It was absolutely delicious. So happy to have found a recipe that makes flounder taste good and not bland. Thank you Tammy for a great one !! Make it again last night. Both my husband and son loved it. Made it with the great mac and cheese recipe I found on this site.

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2012
I have made this recipe many times since getting it from this sight. The whole family loves it. I double the recipe, just not the apple cidar vinegar. The best barbecue sauce I've ever eaten. Will never use the ones purchased from a store again. Thanks

This was the best Challah I have ever eaten. The family loved it too. I halved the recipe like other reviewers did. I mixed and kneaded by hand. I added some honey to the dough and the eggwash and substituted butter for margarine. Baked for 25 minutes. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. I will make challah from now on. No more buying it.

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2013
This recipe was terrific and so easy. I added some garlic to the marinade and seasoned 4 skinless chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. I poured about half the marinade over chicken and covered tight with foil. Baked at 400 degrees for about half an hour. Then turned chicken over added remainder of marinade and pineapple over chicken. Covered tightly and baked for another 20 minutes. Served with rice. Absolutely delicious !!!

Danish Pastry

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2013
This was a great recipe, but alot of work. I took one reviewer's suggestion and did steps 1-3 one day and the rest the next day. I brushed a combination of brown sugar, cinnamon and softened butter on dough before cutting into strips. Found the recipe on Crumb Boss website. I drizzled a vanilla glaze on danish. They were a big hit. Will definitely make again.

Rainbow Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
This is one of my favorite recipes. As many reviewers said, these cookies tasted exactly like the ones from NY bakeries. I took the advice of other reviewers and used almond filling and added some almond extract to the dough. I also added heavy cream and butter to the melted chocolate chips and put chocolate sprinkles all over. I used just seedless raspberry jam. I'm sure the apricot would be good as.well, but it really didn't need it. A wonderful recipe. Penney, thanks so much for sharing !!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2014
Just finished making this bread. I used my kitchen aid to knead the dough. It was so easy. Thanks to the reviewer's tip about speed number and amount of time needed to knead on the Kitchen aid. Followed exact directions except brushed melted butter then cinnamon/sugar on top of 2 of the loaves before putting in oven to bake. Sliced them and will freeze one. This will definitely be my go to recipe for bread. A great recipe, Nita. Thank you so much for sharing !!!
