I made something very similar to this last Christmas and found the texture soggy. I made it again because the flavor is awesome. This time I read over some of the reviews and cut the eggs, milk, and cream. I also flipped the bread before baking and while baking. Still soggy.
Now my brother just said, "that was some good stuff! Thank you." if you like bread pudding, this is delicious. If you don't, its not easy to avoid the texture.
