Chef John's Ham and Potato Soup
I made this today for the first time ever (I've never made soup before besides from a can), and my hubby loved it. I know a meal is a hit when he keeps complimenting it for an hour or two after he's done eating. That happened today. I did not put any celery or milk in it because I didn't have either, but my hubby agreed celery would be a nice touch in it. The milk is not needed, though. I am only giving this four stars because this isn't a recipe that blew us over, but it is very good and will be added to my rotation of "now and then" foods.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion
I made this in the Crock pot for my hubby today. It's probably my fault but he thought it was bland. However, I did not put any bouillon cubes, salt or lemon juice in it. He did like the potatoes and onions, but overall the dish was very bland. I'm not sure what I could have added for additional flavor. I definitely will not be making this dish again as is.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies
I made this recipe for my hubby. I followed it to a 'T' mostly, but I cut all ingredients in half for a half recipe. I also omitted the salt (I never cook or bake with any salt). I had no problems of the cookies "melting". They came out looking delicious!
