Everyone liked this steak. Used garlic, black pepper, thyme and oregano to season the steak. I did not use the onions because my son-in-law does not like onions. The mustard stuck to the bottom of the pan. I deglazed with red wine and poured this over the steaks. Very good and yummy with bread dipped in it.

I liked this dish but almost no one tried it. I guess they like the marshmallow topped potatoes instead. I ended up taking most of it home.I mashed it up and made sweet potato cranberry bread from a recipe off this site.

Baked Apples

A yummy and easy recipe. The baking time is not long enough. The apples were hard and needed to bake another 15 minutes.

Low-Carb Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

We changed the flavor of this cheesecale and did not use any cookies in the crust, just extra nuts but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. We flavored the cheesecake with lemon extract, and stirred a small amount of seedless, no sugar added raspberry jam into a 1/2 cup of batter and swirled it through the lemon batter. This is an excellent cheese cake and I will be making it for several occaisions.

Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

A good recipe however, even after using 4 T. H2O I felt the dough was too stiff. I added another stick of butter,and another egg, and then a few more T. of H2O. I baked them in a greased 10x15 pan. I also changed the add ins to 1 cup semi sweet chips, 1 cup milk chocolate chips and 1 cup of Heath chips. Cut them into 1 x 2 inch bars. These were the first cookies to disappear from a tray of Christmas cookies. I will make them again using different cake mixes and add ins.

Crab Rangoon I

I was so encouraged by the reviews that I doubled the recipe & added extra crab meat.Well, sadly I made these for Christmas and NO ONE liked them. I think there is way too much soy sauce.

Cake Balls

I will use this recipe again. Refrigerating before coating is a must. I used a lot more chocolate coating than what this recipe calls for. Do not melt the chocolate in a microwave. Use a double boiler so the coating remains the right consistency for dipping. We made these for my dad's 95th birthday party, with the idea of making them look like road apples (horse manure). My father lives on a farm and is a horse lover. We used chocolate cake, German chocolate frosting and chocolate coating. After coating them with chocolate we rolled them in green and yellow, lightly toasted coconut. We made these of varing sizes, but averaged two inches. These were stacked up in a child's wheelbarrow. They were quite a hit! Three cake mixes, 4 cans of frosting yielded 100.

Strawberry Pie V

Tastes just like the original strawberry pie that was served at Big Boy's restaurants when I was younger. (Their pies now just do not compare to this.)
