Seminole Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
This recipe is for a fry bread...so why is there a picture of a LOAF of bread??? It is NOT made that way in the recipe directions, either. The Indian Fry Bread is made by frying, not made in a loaf.

Baked Potato Skins

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
I made these today, wouldn't change a thing, except I sprayed my skins with olive oil spray. Did not want the sour cream, but know it would taste good with it. I WILL be making these again for the grand-kids! They like store-bought skins so I know they will love these! Thanks!

This is addicting! Had a neighbor I gave some to say he couldn't stop eating after starting. I fixed him more! Very good snack mix!

Poor Man's Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
This rather reminds me of the meat pattie DQ uses for their DQ Dude sandwich. Not bad at all. Kids love it! Wouldn't change a thing on it. Try it on a hamburger bun with mayo, lettuce and tomato.

Easy Creamy Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
I didn't have the wasabi so I just used regular mayo...with everthing else in this recipe. Love it! Will make it again using dill relish, also...like to experiment a little. (Love the picture of the dish these were served in...looks just like what grandma would have used, :-))

Cheese Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Maybe in Louisana ?? they make these, but in New Mexico you would not use tomato sauce or paste for enchiladas. You use red chile sauce. I would have to give this a one star as it doesn't compare with a "real" enchilada and I think this one should be renamed. Sorry, but, I didn't care for it at all and would not make it again. I noticed that a lot of the other reviewers DID use red enchilada sauce when they made this, as would a true Southwesterner.

Eggnog French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
I had company last week-end and decided to make this. EVERYONE loved it! and wanted the recipe. Only thing I did differently, was to cook each slice in a skillet with a little butter instead of baking the slices. Then I sprinkled with a little powdered sugar. Some had a nice buttery syrup on top, too. Will certainly make this again. (Family thought they were at a Bed and Breakfast with this one!) :)

Rocky Road Freeze

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
The kids loved this one! I didn't change a thing on it, but you could very easily use a graham cracker or vanilla wafer, pre-made crust and turn it into a pie instead of having the filling upside down in this. Would be good with your favorite nuts, not only the peanuts! I will certainly make this up again...it is very easy and quick! Thanks Kraft!

Slow Cooker Chicken Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I will add celery to this next time. Cut the liquid down one can and I like poultry seasoning so I would add a tsp. of that to it, it will probably be a lot better, for me. But, very good dish just the same.

Orange Tapioca Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I don't know what I did wrong..but this didn't turn out well for me. It never did set up and was thick but runny. Taste was fantastic, but not the texture. I might try it one more time just to see if it makes a second time. Very disappointing!

Lemon Custard Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This is one of the better pudding cakes in Allrecipes! However, I did cut the sugar down 1/2 cup and might even try another 1/2 cup next time I make it. I prefer more of the lemon tartness to the sweet sweet lemon that this is. But, it is still one great recipe! Be sure and cover it with foil after you see it is golden brown; it will get too dark if you don't. Thanks to 'Mare' for submitting it.

My family went bonkers over this recipe! I don't care much for apple pie, myself, but this recipe is one I could eat just about every day. One of the THE best recipes I have tried!
