Liz's Banana Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2013
I just made this. I added 1 tsp Vanilla & 1/2 tsp baking powder. I didn't bother with the frosting, but I found that the cake/bars didn't need the extra sweetness. I drizzled melted hazelnut chocolate over pieces for my husband when I served him some.

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
This was a quick and easy recipe that I had all the ingredients for late at night. I made larger cookies, and ended up with 21 cookies total. My cookies didn't 'run' and they turned out great and puffy.

Ham and Cheese Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
I changed this recipe a bit. I pre-cooked the noodles to just under al dente. Used ham, Cream of Celery (10.5oz) combined w/10.5oz 2% milk, and jalapeƱos. Topped w/cheddar & monterey jack cheeses. Turned out fabulous! :) Baked at 350 for 30 minutes.

Three Packet Slow Cooker Roast

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
I made this for dinner last night (we were having a potluck kinda thing... I made this beef for sandwiches). I only changed one thing and added another. Instead of water I used beef broth. I added 1 George Killians Irish Red beer in for flavor. Holy Ale this was the most tender beef roast w/incredible flavor! Everyone fell head over heels for this! :) I of course directed them to this site! Always find gems here! :)

Cheddar Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2005
I just made this for the first time tonight and thought that the recipe was pretty good. I changed a few things. I used Bisquick (for the crust), Canadian Bacon (6 slices diced), sea salt grinder (reduced amount used), black peppercorn grinder, mixed cheddar shredded cheese (2.5 cups) and tabasco (increased amount). As others have said the egg and evaporated milk mixture was a little too much, so I simply tossed out what was extra. While baking my quiche slightly overflowed in the first 5 minutes at 400 degrees. But after I turned down the oven to 350 degrees the quiche seemed to be more stable thus no more overflow. I did bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. The center was still a little wobbly but set up during the 10 minutes I let the quiche rest before serving. Overall, not a bad recipe. Just be sure to watch your quiche!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2004
Turned out better than expected. Only minor problem was that the pan got a bit too sticky.
