About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
i just love cooking, and baking in general!!!!! I always try new things and on the first sitting ill know if its a keeper. my family loves giving their opinions but i love mexican dishes. My husband and i love the spicy foods so i'd say that as well as souther traditional are my top two.
My favorite family cooking traditions
my favorite family cooking traditions are always for every major holiday!! we always go big have feasts and invite over our families and loved one. our biggest tradition that still continues is breakfast casserole on christmas morning my father started this and since he passed on I still have faithfully made this in honor of him. He was always so big on tradition tradition traditions.
My cooking triumphs
One of the things i have most been proud of is my very first cake i made for my nephews first birthday it was a three tier nemo theme. My sister and i made eveything from scratch except for some decals. it was absolutly cute, and very delicious. I am also famous for my potato salad, church potatoes, smokey macaroni & cheese, oven roasted turkey with garlic and parsley and many others are on the list. they all are pushing me to open a catering buisness.
My cooking tragedies
for some darn reason i can never make a good over easy egg. I always crack the egg, and then my husband flips them for me.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers
this was the first time i made these and i have to say that i was so dissappointed. i was excited to try this because i am a big fan of cheese, and spiciness but you couldn't really taste any of the cheese and pepper. not only that, after greasing the grill grate it still stuck and fell apart i was sad and embarassed to serve to my family.
