About this Cook
I'm a 43 year old mum of two preschoolers. My goal is that our family's food be tasty, healthy, and easy to prepare. I enjoy shopping farmer's markets for heirloom, organic produce, and strive to role model eating by the colours of the rainbow for my children.

My cooking triumphs
I cooked a turkey for Christmas and Mum was alive to witness this feat and walk me through the process over the phone.
My cooking tragedies
I burned boiled eggs once ... I also exploded an angel foodcake and annhilated its pan in a sad attempt at microwave bakery. Through perseverance, and despite not having been taught how to cook by my mother as a child because she was too busy to have kids in the kitchen, I think I'm a pretty good cook today. My boys tell me that I'm the best cook in the world, so I rest my verdict! :)

Christmas Morning Wife Saver (Breakfast Casserole)
I did some minor modifications like reducing the amount of bread in order to control carbs and it turned out beautifully. This is very close to my late mother's, from whom I never got her recipe. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Tasteful Tahini Salad Dressing
This is a delicious and healthy dressing. I omitted the red wine vinegar and increased the water slightly. I used ground ginger instead of fresh and overall this is an excellent recipe, imho!

Pasta e Fagioli I
What a quick and easy recipe, proving that the best things in life are simple. Any small pasta will work - I used orzo and substituted navy beans, added diced celery, and a good dash of cayenne. A superb and hearty vegetarian recipe!
