Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2012
While I thought the flavor was pretty good, I thought it was too salty. I had even used no salt canned tomatoes, reduced sodium soy sauce, low sodium beef base and only used 1/3 of the tsp of salt called for. I think it has potential and I will make it again. I like things salty but it was almost too much for me and my husband didn't eat it because of the salt level.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Didn't use green pepper, added 2 tsp extra brown sugar, a little water to allow for simmering time and 4 cloves of garlic with the onion and beef. Very good, even picky toddler loved it.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
Amazing & Simple. I decreased crushed red pepper to 1/8 tsp and added smoked paprika. I added whole recipe to 1 lb browned ground beef, 1 can of refried beans, and 1 can of fiesta corn and AMAZING AMAZING is what it was....even my 2 year old was in love!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2011
I used the topping recipe from Chef Joy's review as I like brown sugar toppings better! My blueberries were very toughed skin so I warmed the milk and dropped the blueberries in to semi cook them. It resulted in VERY blue muffins! They were colts colors and I'll have to remember that for tailgating football time! Very tasty but the one I made without topping was definitely missing something!

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
I followed others suggestions to double the brown sugar. I seared the pork in a hot skillet because it makes the tenderloin much juicier. I put the marianade in a saucepan (I made a triple batch) and reduced into a drizzling sauce. It was fabulous and the leftovers made an amazing sandwich!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
These are the perfect dunking cookies! They are crispy on the outside and chewy and gooey on the inside. I used half mini chocolate chips and half normal sized to make them extra special. The flavor was good, not too sweet. They do not spread out at all so make sure they are the thickness you want them when they go into the oven. This is going in the recipe box and will be used again and again.

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
So good! I made a few adjustments per the reviews I read. I made a half batch since I only had 2 bananas. I used half white sugar and half brown sugar. I also added a 1/2 tsp of vanilla and a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. You can't taste the vanilla or cinnamon, but they make the banana flavor really pop! I used half whole wheat flour and half unbleached all purpose too. I will be making again for sure :)
