Miriam's Not-So-Secret Challah

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
I made this bread for Easter and realized after doing a full 8 minutes of kneading I had forgot to add the eggs! So back in the bowel it went, mixed the eggs in best I could, re-kneaded it with a bit more flour to get it all to mix, and hoped for the best... Well talk about a forgiving recipe! It was by far still the best loaves of bread I had made in a long time, will def be making this one again!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
These were so simple that I really didn't expect much from them, but I had busquick to use up and no milk, so I thought what the heck. Boy am I glad I gave them a try, they were delicious. My husband absolutely loved them too and he is a very picky eater, especially when it comes to breads. Definitely a keeper!

Whole Wheat Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
Great recipe! Child friendly as well, they stay nice a soft (with a little crunch on the top from the sugar) so even my 12 month old was able to enjoy them. Since they're made with whole wheat they're not quite as bad for him as some as well. Will definitely make again :)

Butternut Squash and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
Awesome recipe! My hubbie doesn't like ground poultry or squash and he thought it was delicious, even my 17 month old enjoyed it! The only change I made was substituting cayenne pepper instead of the green chilies because I couldn't find it at the store. Other than that I followed the recipe bang on and wouldn't hesitate to make it exactly the same next time :)

Whole Grain Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2014
My 2 year old ate four of these in one sitting! They puffed up nicely and had a good hearty taste. Also found them much more filling than a traditional pancake.

Sugar-Free Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
I didn't find that this frosting had much flavour at all which I suppose could be the type of pudding I used, but regardless when I started to pipe it on my cupcakes it started to melt into a big globby mess. I literally had to scrape it all off of the ones I had done and made traditional icing instead. If you are just icing a cake and you HAVE to have sugar free it's worth trying, but I definitely will not be using it again.
