Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
I love this cake! It is extremely dense (like pound cake), but the flavor is nice and subtle (like a good sugar cookie).I have made it for several occasions and it has always been well received. I bake it in my 10" round pan. I finish it off with a light glaze over the top.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
I really enjoyed this delicious recipe! I used butter instead of margarine, pumpkin pie spice in place of nutmeg (didn't have nutmeg) and 1/2 the sugar/cinnamon mixture and it came out perfect! They have a donut consistency and are really easy to make.

Camp Cornbread

I really liked this recipe. It is an eat with a fork moist corn cake, not like a traditional cornbread. Very easy recipe!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
I have tried MANY brownie recipes and Brooke's are among my favorite! Delicious, sweet, fudgy, moist and perfect with a glass of cold milk. I followed the recipe as is and I am glad I did. I have made it several times already and have tried some alternatives - 1/2 white 1/2 brown sugar, using truvia in place of white sugar, using wheat flour, but I think it is great as written. Thanks for sharing!

Roasted Winter Squash Seeds

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
Worked well! I followed the recipe and I thought they were quite similar to pumpkin seeds (tasty). I will be doing this from now on! Thanks!

Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
My search for a recipe to use up my leftover ham that had been frozen and all other ingredients from scratch led me here. I really enjoyed it and have made this a few times since. I made exactly as stated the first time and it is a good solid recipe. I added hot sauce for an extra kick on my serving. After that I have added different veggies (whatever was in the fridge - mushrooms & red bell peppers, corn & carrots) and has turned out great each time. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
Love the recipe! My first attempt at a flourless cake was a success. I made this for my friend's birthday & it was AMAZING! So rich and decadent... My changes: I used 3 eggs and 3 egg whites, per another reviewers suggestion and used a combo of bittersweet chocolate sqaures and semi-sweet chips, simply due to cost. I baked this cake in a 9" springform pan, so I let it cook 55 minutes without the waterbath and it was perfect! I served it with raspberries & Truwhip to cut the richness. This is definitely a special occasion cake! Everyone loved it! Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
This recipe was so tasty and easy! I added extra corn (2 16oz packages) while keeping the other ingredients as stated and it was perfect. I made it in the morning for a potluck at noon & it was gone in no time! Thanks for sharing this easy to make recipe.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
Hands down - best carrot cake that I have ever tasted! I loved that it had everything (coconut, walnuts, raisins and pineapple) so I didn't have to decide which to use. It was a little labor intensive, but really worth it! Next time I may buy the pre-shredded carrots. I tried another reviewers tip about soaking the raisins in OJ and then bringing to a boil. It brought a light citrus flavor to the cake that was really delicious. I topped off the cake with an amazing cream cheese frosting. Thank you for sharing this fantastic recipe!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
They were so good! Loved the idea of putting them in a mini muffin tin. I used the mini cupcake papers which made for a nice presentation. I made them twice within a week and they were a big hit! I used sun butter and most people didn't even know. Although the green middle gave it away on some of the cookies! I didn't know that sun butter can turn green when baked... oh well, it won't hurt you or the taste! (could be a good thing for St. Patrick's Day!)

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
I loved this frosting! I forgot to add the cinnamon and I used only 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar. I wanted more tangy than sweet. I will have to try the cinnamon next time! It was perfect with my chocolate cupcakes and I still have so much leftover... Bring on the graham crackers!

Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
Tasty! They were easy to make and quite filling. One cupcake hit the spot for me. The consistency was between a brownie/cake that I found perfect! I used a almost double the amount of butter called for, but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Will make again! Thanks for sharing :)

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
I had 1/2 of a vidalia onion left over, so I sliced it to add and completely forgot the garlic... The meat is so moist and flavorful! (a little spicy, but tasty) I LOVE this easy crock pot recipe! I am so excited about having leftovers and can't wait to make it again for friends.
