Excellent! Now it will become our holiday tradition! Easy to make and had most of the ingredients at hand. Smells wonderful!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
We love this and so does my sister-in-law who normally hates green bean casserole! Didn't change a thing, except I use regular beans instead of the french-style.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
Love, love, love this recipe!! We have this for Sunday dinners quite a bit. So easy to make and the house smells so good. This is the most tender roast I've ever had. I don't add water as someone once told me you don't need to when cooking meat. Not sure if that's totally true, but it seems to work for us. I add onions and carrots as well as some garlic. The gravy is fantastic over mashed potatoes! Cooked on low which we do for all crockpot dishes.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
My family LOVES this recipe!! We have it about once a week as it's so easy to make and it tastes so good. I add 2 Golden Mushroom soups instead of one and also a 1/2 packet of Lipton Dry Onion Soup Mix as well. I don't add water though. We love it over egg noodles.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
Great recipe! We omit the garlic and ground cayenne and instead put in a serrano pepper plus a little extra cilantro. Thanks for the recipe!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
Didn't change a thing! My husband was so in love with this salsa that he practically licked the bowl clean. Both he and I would agree with other reviewers in that this should be made about a day to two days in advance of when you play to eat it as it doesn't taste very good the first day. The best was about 2 days later. All the flavors melded together and it was fabulous! So easy to make too.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
Loved this recipe! Made it for a family get together and it was soo good! I used the satiny glaze recipe that many reviewers recommended and that too was wonderful. Added some raspberries to the final product!! Now all my family wants the recipe! I'm sure this will be something that I make again and again.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2003
My husband was in seventh heaven with these tacos! What a fantastic recipe! The only change I made was omitting the oregano and adding cilantro instead. I was debating about whether or not to use the entire lime rather than just half, but I stuck with half . . . and it tasted perfect! This is definitely going in our recipe box!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2003
Excellent cookies! I can't stop eating them. I did add an entire bag of chocolate chip cookies rather than just one cup. Even though I love chocolate, it's a bit much, so next time I will add just the one cup. It's very important to let them sit on the cookie sheet for awhile before moving them to the wire rack! They taste even better the second day . . . and the third . . . and the fourth, etc.

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2003
Will definitely be making this one again! I decreased the oil to 1 Tbsp. and let it marinate from early morning to early evening. Cooked it a bit longer than necessary, so it wasn't as tender, but that was my fault. Excellent over rice!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2003
We really enjoyed this soup! I really didn't change anything from the recipe, but next time I might add a bit more cheese and broccoli. Otherwise, an excellent soup for those cold nights!

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2003
We loved this recipe! We stuck with the recipe except added a little bit more garlic. Next time, however, I think I will have either less noodles or more chicken. I'd also like to try another noodle besides fettucine. Mushrooms would add a nice touch as well. The sauce is wonderful and the sundried tomatoes just make it!

Lemon-Lime Soda Gelatin Salad

I thought this salad was wonderful, and I'm not much of a jello salad eater! This will definitely be added to our recipe box and used often. Extremely easy to make and sooo good!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
This was my absolute favorite dish this Thanksgiving! I didn't make the stuffing in the bird, but cooked alongside it and it turned out wonderful. I used european bread (both wheat and white) and left the crusts on. I also used pork sausage instead of turkey sausage, and left out the turkey liver. Everyone loved this stuffing! I can't say enough good things about it! Thanks for providing us with a new Thanksgiving staple!

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
We love this and have it quite a lot! My kids love it and that's saying something when they know there's spinach in it. The only thing I changed is that I used a jar of Garlic Alfredo sauce rather than from a packet.

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
This is the best! I halved the recipe as it makes a lot. I also only use enough water to cover the cranberries. I zest an entire orange as well rather than just 1 Tbsp. Tastes even better the 2nd day, if there's any left!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
This was the best!! I love chicken pot pie and this is a fantastic recipe for it. I did make some changes based on reading previous reviews, namely cooking at 375 degrees for 40 minutes, adding poultry seasoning and garlic powder, mixing the sauce with the veggies and chicken before putting into the pie crust, and baking the pie crust (after brushing with egg white) before putting the ingredients in. I also added a potato and corn instead of celery and celery seed.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
I've tried many sugar cookie recipes but I think this is my favorite. Very easy to make and the dough seemed easier to work with than other recipes. I didn't add extra sugar as some reviewers did, but that's because I used store-bought frosting to decorate and that's got plenty of sugar in it. I did add an extra tsp. of vanilla however. I would highly recommend chilling dough. I chilled it overnight and then kneaded it before rolling out and it was very easy. Rolling out on the parchment didn't work for me though--just threw some flour on the kitchen counter and went to work! Will definitely be making these again!
