Lemon-Lime Soda Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
I thought this salad was wonderful, and I'm not much of a jello salad eater! This will definitely be added to our recipe box and used often. Extremely easy to make and sooo good!

Excellent! Now it will become our holiday tradition! Easy to make and had most of the ingredients at hand. Smells wonderful!

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
Great recipe but made a few modifications. I used a 10 oz. bag of fresh spinach, cut down the sour cream a little, and used a package of zesty italian salad dressing instead of the vegetable soup.

Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
For some reason, this was a flop at our house. I wanted to try it because of the great reviews, but it just didn't taste very good to my family. In fact, we threw the leftovers away. I wish it would have turned out better for us.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
This was my absolute favorite dish this Thanksgiving! I didn't make the stuffing in the bird, but cooked alongside it and it turned out wonderful. I used european bread (both wheat and white) and left the crusts on. I also used pork sausage instead of turkey sausage, and left out the turkey liver. Everyone loved this stuffing! I can't say enough good things about it! Thanks for providing us with a new Thanksgiving staple!

Blue Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
My husband grew up in Maine, so he adores both blueberries and cranberries. He thought this dish was fantastic! Probably his favorite part of our Thanksgiving meal. I'm not much of a cranberry lover, but I still thought it was very good. The spices make this dish outstanding! Very easy to make as well.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
A Thanksgiving dish that turned out fabulous! I normally don't like sweet potatoes/yams at all, but these were very good. My husband says that we need to have this every Thanksgiving from now on. I halved the sugars as many people suggested and I really can't imagine it with more sugar. I also reduced the amount of butter by half. Just a wonderful tasting dish.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2002
Love these! Only changes I made was using cream of chicken soup instead of cream of mushroom and I also cooked the chicken with taco seasoning to add some more flavor. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Wisconsin Cheese Soup II

I just made this soup last night and it was wonderful! Very easy to make and so good! My husband enjoyed it also--he just wished that I had made more. Enjoyed it with some homemade bread!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2002
This is a nice recipe for salmon, although not my favorite. My husband enjoyed this more than I did. It didn't look or smell very appetizing to me and the lemon juice overpowered the other flavors.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2002
I really love these cookies! They are very different from regular cookies . . . a bit like cake, but very good. I used only 1/2 tsp. of salt and put in an entire bag of chocolate chips. I also left out the walnuts, which were optional anyway. My husband requested that I use raisins next time. One thing I would say is that to me pumpkin cookies never taste as good the first day. The second day the flavors just seem to come together and the taste is much better!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

I thought these were very good. I actually have been using a snickerdoodle recipe from my mom that is not much different than this.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2002
I thought this was very good. I usually have salmon grilled with a bit of dill and lemon, so to actually have pecans, honey, and dijon mustard on it was very different. I did enjoy it though. I think I found a new way to have salmon!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2002
I love this sauce! I did take Rebecca's suggestion and used Gruyere cheese instead of parmesan. It melted perfectly! I also used margarine instead of butter and half and half instead of heavy cream. I mixed this with fettucine, chicken, and steamed broccoli. It was wonderful! A definite keeper!
