Mother-In-Law Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
Very Good! I've always been making deviled eggs the same way (with mayo and vinegar) and thought these were a nice change, really liked them. I used regular mustard for the hot mustard because I didn't have any and left out the olives. I will try with the hot mustard next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I loved it! Super easy to make and tasted great. I didn't have saltine crackers so I used 3 slices of bread brocken into pieces. Also used 1/4 c. brown sugar instead of the 1/2 c. and put the glaze on top. Totally forgot to put the milk in but I didn't notice in the end result. Cooked a little longer also. Easy dinner even for a busy weeknight!

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Was so easy and tasted good too! I actually used frozen chicken breasts, like the kind that come in a bag already frozen and just threw it all in the crock pot. When it was almost done I chopped up the chicken in big peices. Ate it over biscuits. Very good!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Awesome! Really quick and easy way to make pancakes if you don't have mix. I will use this from now on for pancakes. To get the pancakes really fluffy the key is not to overmix the batter, it should be lumpy. I mixed all the wet ingrediants seperate then added to dry ingrediants and mixed until moist. Yummy! And good in the fridge for a couple days too!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I'd always wanted to try sheperds pie so used this recipe. I wasn't too crazy about it, probably I'm just not a sheperds pie person.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Very good but I think does need a little more liquid. I add about a cup of milk. Other than that this is the recipe I use for tuna casserole.

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
Really loved it! I didn't have any condensed milk so just used the sugar and kept everything else the same. And I thought that was really good. Can't wait to try it with the condensed milk, I might cut down on the sugar a little then. I also really liked how the shredded carrots looked in it, looked like cheese, but without all the extra calories. This ones a keeper!

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I thought it was ok, I guess I'm not a big fan of the lemon pepper seasoning, so if I had substituted that with something else would probably be better.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2007
Loved it! Turned out great, even though I left out the spinach and mushrooms and just used veggies I had on hand. Really liked the sour cream on the bottom. I'll be using this recipe from now on for quiche. I used the 'Easy Pie Crust' recipe on this site also, great alternative to store bought crust. Thanks for the great recipe!

Easy Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2007
Awesome! So easy and turned out tasting great. I never tried making a crust before because I thought it would be hard to do. So glad I found this recipe. Now I'll never have to worry about having a pie shell handy! If you're going to do a deep dish pie though, I would do 1 1/2 times the recipe.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
Really good and rich tasting bread. I even used applesauce for 1/2 the oil and egg beaters for all the eggs and could not tell at all. I did use some extra spices just because I like that flavor. And next time will add some nuts. This ones a keeper!

Pumpkin Pie Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Awesome! I used the Libbys pumpkin pie filling to make it a little quicker. I've had several people ask for the recipe, and my husband that usually doesn't like pumpkin is now insisting I make this for Thanksgiving dessert. Thanks!

Mimi's Slumgullion

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
Great recipe, I will definitely make again. I followed instructions exactly except used less oil. The sausage really flavors the other ingredients really well. Next time I might use light sausage because it was a little greasy for my taste. Also, make sure to check the potatoes for doneness because may not need to cook the whole amount of time listed. Great recipe for a quick meal!

Chili I

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
Really is an awesome chili recipe, I couldn't stop eating it the next day! I had to try this one after everything I read. I actually doubled the recipe, and started to be a little nervous once I put everything together in the pot because some of the ingredients are kind of different, but like all the other reviews say, it works and really is very good. Definitely tastes better after sitting overnight in the fridge. I used all ground beef instead of cubed steak and used ground cumin instead of cumin seeds (used about half as much also). Thanks for the great recipe!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
Really loved this recipe. I will definitely be using this as my lasagna recipe from now on. I even accidentally used 1/2 the amount of mozzarella and did not affect the taste at all, so even saved a few calories there! The other different thing is I used more sauce between the pasta layers and I still had sauce left over, which I froze. I think will be awesome as spaghetti sauce also. Thanks for the great lasagna recipe, I’ve been looking for one and found it!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
I wasn't that crazy about this one. I thought the recipe sounded really good, but ended up being too salty. Maybe with the butter and crackers just gave it too much of a salty buttery taste.

Orange Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2007
These carrots are really good! Something about the orange flavor just goes really good with carrots this way. I didn't have any corn starch, but I'll try next time to make the sauce stick a little better, but really good just the way the recipe says!
