Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Please Please Please folks, try this pie without adding anything! If you want a cinnamon apple pie, use a different recipe. This one is beautiful in it's simplicity which highlights the apples and adds a nice crunchy crust. Drizzling the filling over the lattice top makes the top sweet and crisp (if you cook it long enough) and inside the caramel cooks down with the apples to give you a wonderful sweet apple filling without complication. If you love this pie, but have never made it 'as written' I highly recommend it at least once to see how this pie is truly different from all the others. Grandma Ople should be proud.

Avocado Tomatillo Salsa
Holy mackerel delicious. I made it from the video, so there were no measurements yet - and I don't think there's a way to mess this up. I am trying to avoid eating the entire batch now before I use it on dinner. It's highly acidic, but amazingly fresh tasting and creamy. I will be making this regularly.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie
This delicious apple pie absolutely must be tried at least once without changing a thing. I know, I know, everyone *knows* that cinnamon is a must in apple pie. It's not. The butter based caramel sauce highlights the tartness of the apples perfectly and simply, without addition of other flavors or complications. Pouring it over the already latticed-top gives a sweet coating to the crust that lends a crunchy contrast to the soft apple filling, as well as making it beautiful when it comes out of the oven. If you use a deep dish pie plate, there is no bubbled over caramel and 8 apples fit exactly. My husband, normally a cinnamon lover, loved the pie as it was, and commented that adding cinnamon would probably detract. My only regret in making this pie is that I forgot to take a picture before serving it.
