Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

Everyone couldn't stop raving about the pork at our Cinqo de Mayo party! For a 7 lb. pork butt, I did one bottle of the chipolte sauce, 1 LG can and 1 sm can of diced chiles, 1 bottle of beer ( I think it was boston lager) the salt and garlic, and a major handful of fresh cilantro, and put it in the oven on the slow cook method. That stayed in there for about 10 hours. It came out perfectly tender and flaking apart!! I added some cumin per some of the others suggestions after the pork was shredded. Then I just put it in the fridge for a few hours and warmed it before everyone came over.....Delicious!!

Mexican Cornbread Salad

This was delicious!! To make this a little lighter, I made my own dressing w/the ranch packet, greek yogurt and 1% milk. I cut the cheese down to just sprinkling it on top and didn't use the bacon. I did use the corn with the red and green pepper in it too. It was so moist and full of flavor! A definite keeper...

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

One word, AMAZING!! The reviews are totally on track with this recipe. I did follow some of the suggestions with half apple sauce and oil. I cut the sugar by only adding 2 cups and did use 1/2 brown sugar and the other cup white. I added about 2 cups of chocolate chips and did add the spices in the batter AND in the dry ings too. I also added a tsp. of vanilla too. Everyone raved about how yummy and moist it was!! I can't wait to make it again!

Bruschetta Chicken Bake

Very tasty!! You can't get much easier than this one too. It was put together in no time at all. My family loved it. I did use one can of the fire roasted tomatoes and one can of stewed tomatoes with the juices. I didn't need to add any more liquid. It was yummy with a good salad, and french bread!

Really weak in flavor!! It doesn't set up very well either. I added liquid like some other people mentioned,but it really didn't help at all. Dry and pretty blah!!

Apple Fritters I

Good recipe not great. I used a bit more liquid like some others mentioned before so that it did cook easily for the whole fritter. I did add cinnamon and vanilla too. Overall, I will make again someday.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Really good Potatoes. Loved the flavor.I brushed a bit of olive oil on the outside and sprinkled with Sea Salt. I added a bit of minced garlic to the mixing part too. My family loved them! Will definitely make them again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

My family really enjoys this recipe. I did tweak it a little bit after making it a few times. I added one can of french onion soup, one can of cream of mushroom soup, a 1/2c. of beef broth instead of water, and added mushrooms and onions. Then an hour or two before serving, I added carrots, and potatoes. Really Yummy!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Excellent Cheesecake!! It is so creamy and flavorful!! Great with cherries on top. You could easily add any good thing to this recipe. I added the flour to the sourcream and vanilla. It definitely helped with getting all the lumps out of the batter. Will definitely make again!
