Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
This recipe is a keeper! We only made one batch before deciding if we want to make a big load to freeze, these were worth it. We did make some changes as we are dairy free. I replaced the milk with almond milk and the butter with olive oil. Absolutely delicious.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
Delicious pancakes! My kids said they taste just like bisquick, and then my oldest said they were better. We always make extra to freeze when we make pancakes. We re-heated some today and they are perfect out of the freezer, they freeze much better than bisquick pancakes. We did have to make these dairy free so we used coconut milk to sour. I am thinking about replacing some of the flour next time with almond flour. Over-all these were amazing, simple, and much cheaper than buying a box of bisquick mix. Thank you for this great recipe!!!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
The Teriyaki sauce is amazing! We had just had baked chicken the night before, so I ended up cooking the chicken in the skillet, addded a bag of frozen stirfry veggies and made a stir fry with it instead. This was so simple to make and had much more flavor than store bought teriyaki sauce. We are big fans of stirfry, so we have found our new sauce. I did add some extra water (maybe 1/4 cup to the sauce as it had a very strong flavor. I waited to add the extra water over the stirfry and not when the sauce was thickening though.) This was a hit in our house! We will make it again.

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
Overall very healthy and delicious! We had to make adjustments for my dairy free husband. So we replaced the milk with almond milk. I didn't have wheat germ so I replaced that with almond meal (although not the full 1/4 cup, I used about half of the 1/4 cup as almond meal you don't need as much of when replacing wheat germ). I also doubled up on the vanilla extract and sugar. My family loved these and we had some leftover to freeze!

Campbell's® Quick and Easy Chicken, Broccoli and Brown Rice Dinner

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
I was a little hesitant to try this one with such mixed reviews. I do know that we like everything in it so, I figured, even if it was bland it would still be okay. I did make some changes as my husband can't have any dairy. I replaced the campbell's cream of chicken soup with my homemade dairy free cream of chicken soup (which does have a stronger flavor than the canned soup). That may have made the flavor better, as ours was not bland like many of the reviews say. I also used white rice instead of brown. The entire dish was gone and everyone's plates were clean. This was very easy and quick, so we will use it again.

Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2013
Absolutely delicious sauce! I didn't change any of the ingredients. The only change I made to this was the cook time. I put all ingredients in the crock pot and slow cooked for 8 hours. I noticed within an hour it had great flavor already. I also ran my sauce through the chopper to chop chunky tomatoes, peppers and onions as my kids aren't a fan of "chunks". This was a great sauce and I will probably never buy it from a can or jar again!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
My 10 year old was in search of a good sugar cookie recipe for the holidays. She has made this recipe twice and they turned out FANTASTIC both times. She has done a lot in the kitchen, but I was a bit worried after reading some people said the dough was a bit sticky. She had no problems with sticky dough. It was very easy to work with! Many of the reviews reported needing more sugar and that I do think is very true. My daughter took the advice of many other reviews and made this recipe with 3 cups of sugar and 2 tsp of vanilla. We have officially designated my 10yr old as the cookie maker of the house. Thumbs up for this recipe!
